Testberichte für das Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA-DB01
Luxury for less than $300. The C100PA Chromebook Flip is the latest model to borrow the 360-degree hinge design from Lenovo’s Yoga series. But with sleek aluminum construction, a comfortable keyboard, and a remarkably affordable price point, there’s a lot more to this story.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA is a solid device for light users, but its disappointing flippy screen feature bumps the system up to a premium price for those looking for a cheap Chromebook. The £200 Asus Chromebook C201 doesn’t have the flexible hinge, but comes in a full £50 cheaper.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThis ASUS Chromebook Flip will be the third ASUS laptop I’ve purchased and the first Chromebook I’ve owned. I really enjoy it. It’s fun to use, it turns on and reboots quickly, it’s extremely portable, and it’s surprisingly spacious to type and work on for a 10-inch laptop. It’s certainly not as powerful as a laptop you could get for $350 or $450, but Chrome OS is so lightweight that you don’t need that much power.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe ASUS Chromebook Flip makes a nice ultra-portable Chromebook. Students or businesses heavily invested in the Google ecosystem will find this little 2-in-1 useful for work and some entertainment. People who already know they like ChromeOS will also enjoy using it, so long as the small design doesn’t frustrate them.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe ASUS Chromebook Flip C100PA is unique in that it is the only one on the market that can function both as a laptop or a tablet but the system also deserves recognition for its low price and exceptional build quality. This is a very well designed Chromebook. It does have a few faults though including performance that is below much of the competition and a smaller keyboard that can be difficult to use for some.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Asus Chromebook Flip isn't perfect, but it's an excellent little piece of kit. And for $249 (about £160, AU$337), it's so temptingly affordable that you might want to pick one up just to have a Chrome OS device on hand – even if you already own a MacBook or Windows laptop. I sure as hell want to. Aside from the alluring price tag, the Flip is one of the best built Chromebooks to pave the way forward for more convertibles. Touchscreen functionality feels a bit more thought out, with a screen that actually rotates for once.

EN→DE Archive.org versionAs I said from the outset, you'll be hard-pressed to find another Chromebook with this kind of convertible design. Lenovo had the similar N20p, for example, but it gotlukewarm reviews and is no longer available on the company's site. That leaves a couple worthy competitors, none of them with a 360-degree hinge.

EN→DE Archive.org versionAt either $250 or $300, depending on RAM (as outlined above), you're getting a pretty good deal. Remember that you're limited to what Chrome is capable of when you're picking this device up, and be sure to actually get your hands on this device before you buy to make certain it's the right choice for your unique set of needs.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Asus Chromebook Flip C100 packs a lot of features into a small, low-cost package, including a touchscreen, hybrid hinge, and aluminum body. The biggest trade-off is slower performance, as well as the cramped input methods and small screen. This, or any sub-13-inch Chromebook is never going to be your all-day productivity machine.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Asus Chromebook Flip is the first Chrome OS device I've been truly excited about since the Toshiba Chromebook 2. While I still don't need a tablet after parting ways with my iPad Air, the Chromebook Flip gives me tablet convenience in a laptop. I also love its vibrant display and long battery life, which lets me bring this hybrid anywhere for the day without having to schlep the charger.
