Nur kleine Änderungen wurden vorgenommen. Das Refresh der MacBook Pro  beschränkt sich auf neue Hardwarekomponenten, überarbeiteten DisplayPort und eine neue Gestenfunktion des Touchpads. Das war‘s. Noch immer fehlt ein Nummernblock auf der riesigen Arbeitsoberfläche, schnelle Festplatten kosten Auspreis und die Lüfter pusten die Hitze weiterhin gegen das Displayscharnier.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M: Die GeForce GT 330M ist die Nachfolgerkarte der GT 230M und technisch eine etwas höher getaktete GT 240M (und dadurch minimal schneller).

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

540M: Der Core i5-540M ist ein schneller Dual-Core Prozessor und besitzt im Vergleich zum i7-620 nur 3MB L3 Cache und taktet ebenfalls zwischen 2.53-3.07 GHz (je nach Auslastung dank Turbo Boost). Durch Hyperthreading werden bis zu 4 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet. Im Package ist auch noch eine integrierte Grafikkarte (GMA HD mit 766 MHz) und ein Speichercontroller (beide noch 45nm Fertigung).
