Der AMD Ryzen 7 5700G ist eine Desktop-APU mit 8-Kernen und Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), womit dieser 16 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeiten kann. Zudem gibt es mit der AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 eine iGPU die mit 2 GHz taktet und die Bildausgabe übernimmt. Mit dem Launch am 13.04.2021 ist er der es schnellste 8-Kern-Prozessor mit integrierter Grafikeinheit aus dem Hause AMD.
Der Ryzen 7 5700G taktet mit einem Basistakt von 3,8 GHz und erreicht im Turbo bis zu 4,6 GHz auf einem Kern.
Die Leistung des AMD Ryzen 7 5700G ist durchweg bei allen Anwendungen sehr gut und reiht sich nur knapp hinter dem AMD Ryzen 7 5800X ein. Vor allem bei Multi-Thread-Anwendungen kann der native 8-Kerner seine Stärken ausspielen. Die Vorteile der Zen-3-Architektur zeigen sich aber auch bei einer deutlich gesteigerten Single-Core-Performance im Verhältnis zu Zen 2.
Bei den Fertigungsverfahren setzt AMD auch bei den Cezanne-Prozessoren auf TSMC für die 7nm-Fertigung der CPU-Kerne.
