Im Unterschied zum i9-12900HX, bietet der 12950HX Intel vPro Managment Features und ECC Speicher (Nachfolger der Xeon Linie). Die Übertaktungsoptionen sind jedoch etwas begrenzt.
Performance
Durch die zwei zusätzlichen P-Kerne und den höheren TDP sollte der i9-12950HX deutlich schneller sein als der i9-12900HK. Dadurch eignet sich die CPU hervorragend für anspruchsvolle Anwendungen und Spiele.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12950HX sind alle 32 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,55 GHz. Der schwächere 12900HK Mobilchip bietet 96 EUs.

Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800 und DDR4-3200. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt 48 PCIe Lanes, davon 16 PCIe 5.0 (x16 oder 2 x8).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i9-12950HX ist mit 55 Watt TDP angegeben (PL2 157 Watt). Gefertigt wird der 12900HX im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
Intel Core i7-13700H

Die CPU bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove oder Raptor Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 5 GHz (Einzelkernturbo, 4,7 GHz für alle Kerne). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ).
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktraten der Rocket-Lake-Serie, kann der i7-13700H sich auf das Niveau des alten Core i9-12900H heben und gehört damit zu einer sehr schnellen mobilen CPU, die sich für alle Anwendungsbereiche hervorragend geeignet.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13700H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,5 GHz.

Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 4,9 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo, alle Kerne bis 4,7 GHz). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6700HQ). Im Vergleich zum 13700H bietet der 13620H nur halb so viele E-Kerne und wahrscheinlich eine schwächere iGPU.
Performance
Durch die höhere Taktung, sollte sich der i7-13620H etwas vom alten Core i7-12650H abheben können, bleibt aber hinter den 14-Kern-Modellen zurück (wie z.B. Core i7-13700H).
