Intel Core i7-8750H
► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i7-8750H ist ein Sechskern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basiert und Anfang 2018 vorgestellt wird. Er taktet die sechs Prozessorkerne mit 2,2 - 4,1 GHz (Ein- und Zweikern Turbo) bzw. maximal 3,9 GHz wenn alle Kerne ausgelastet sind und 4 GHz wenn 4 Kerne ausgelastet sind. Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down).
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Coffee Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und Coffee Lake kann nur durch die leicht verbesserte Fertigung (14nm++) und die zusätzlichen Kerne punkten. Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i5-8750H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks. Optional kann er per Configurable TDP-down auf 35 Watt gedrosselt werden (mit dadurch geringerer Leistung).
Intel Core i9-12900HK
► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i9-12900HK ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,5 bis 5 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,8 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ). Die K-Variante bezeichnet den freien Multiplikator, wodurch sich die CPU übertakten lässt. Im Unterschied zum 12900H, bietet der 12900HK nur die "Essentials"-Features von vPro.
Performance
Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i9-11980HK (Tiger Lake-H mit 8 Kernen) kann der 12900HK in allen Bereichen punkten. Die neuen Golden Cove Kerne bieten eine leicht höhere Single Thread Performance und dank der gesamt 14 Kerne können Multi-Thread-Anwendungen deutlich beschleunigt werden. Intel gibt z.b. bei Spielen eine durchschnittlich 13% höhere Performance an und bei Blender Rendering 30% weniger Renderzeit (BMW Car Demo). In unseren Tests ist die Performance stark abhängig von den TDP Settings und der Kühlung und kann sich im Schnitt etwas vom Ryzen 9 6900HX absetzen (+11% zur Zeit des Schreibens, siehe Vergleich).
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12900HK sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,45 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i9-12900HK ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (PL2 115 Watt). Die meisten Notebooks werden aber einen PL1 von etwa 60 Watt erlauben. Bei geringer Last, sollte der Stromverbrauch dank der sparsamen Gracemont Kerne sehr gut sein. Gefertigt wird der 12900HK im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Intel Core i7-12650H

Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,3 bis 4,7 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,7 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6700HQ). Im Vergleich zum 12700H bietet der 12650H nur halb so viele E-Kerne und eine schwächere iGPU. Auch vPro wird gar nicht unterstützt.
Performance
Durch die 10 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-8-Kerner (bei vergleichbaren Takt, wie der i7-11800H mit bis zu 4,8 GHz) liegen. Bei der Einzelkernperformance dürfte der 12650H auch noch schneller sein, dank der neuen Architektur.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12650H sind nur 64 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
