Der Intel Core i7-14700HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2024 vorgestellt im Zuge des Raptor Lake HX Refresh. Der i7-14700HX ist ähnlich zum Core i7-13850HX mit leicht höher getakteten CPU-Kernen.
Die insgesamt 28 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Der 14700HX bietet 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading und 12 Effizienzkerne (E-Cores) ohne Hyperthreading. Daher werden insgesamt 28 Threads unterstützt. Die P-Cores takten mit bis zu 5,5 GHz (Einzelkern) und die E-Cores bis 3,9 GHz. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt maximal DDR5 mit 5600 MHz.
Die neue Raptor Lake Architektur bietet im Vergleich zu Alder Lake verbesserte P-Cores (Raptor Cove Architektur mit mehr Cache), mehr E-Cores (selbe Gracemont Architektur) und höhere Taktraten dank des verbesserten Intel 7 Prozesses. Weiters unterstützt Intel bei den Topmodellen nun schnelleren DDR5 Hauptspeicher (bis 5600 MHz).
Der 14700HX wird im älteren 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
Intel Core i5-13500H ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-13500H ist eine Mittelklasse-CPU der Raptor Lake-H Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU bietet alle 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,6 bis 4,7 GHz (Einzelkern-Boost, Mehrkern maximal 4,6 GHz). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,9 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum älteren Core i5-12500H , bietet der 13500H höhere Taktraten (z.B. +200 MHz Boost der P-Kerne). Bietet eingeschränkten vPro-Support (Essentials Management Features).
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktung kann sich der i5-13500H etwas vom alten Core i5-12600H absetzen. Wie für Alder Lake üblich, ist die Leistung aber stark von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings abhängig.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13500H sind nur 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt nun DDR5-5200 (12500H nur 4800 MHz). Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist weiterhin in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i5-13500H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (95W PL2). Gefertigt wird der i5 im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm), wodurch die höheren Taktraten bei Raptor Lake-H möglich wurden.

Der Intel Core i7-14650HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2024 vorgestellt und ist ähnlich zum älteren Core i7-13700HX bis auf leicht höhere Taktraten der CPU (max 200 MHz).
Die insgesamt 24 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Der 13700HX bietet 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Cores) ohne Hyperthreading. Daher werden insgesamt 20 Threads unterstützt. Die P-Cores takten von 2,2 bis 5,2 GHz (Einzelkern) bzw. 4,5 GHz (alle Kerne) und die E-Cores von 1,6 bis 3,7 GHz. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt maximal DDR5 mit 4800 MHz (und nicht 5600 MHz wie die i9 HX Modelle).
Die neue Raptor Lake Architektur bietet im Vergleich zu Alder Lake verbesserte P-Cores (Raptor Cove Architektur mit mehr Cache), mehr E-Cores (selbe Gracemont Architektur) und höhere Taktraten dank des verbesserten Intel 7 Prozesses. Die Performance sollte minimal oberhalb des älteren Core i7-13700HX liegen (bei gleichen TDP-Settings und Kühlung). Damit eignet sich die CPU auch hervorragend für anspruchsvolle Tätigkeiten und Spiele.
Der 14650HX wird weiterhin im verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
