Der Intel Core i7-13850HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2023 vorgestellt und unterstützt das volle Enterprise vPro-Features-Set.
Die insgesamt 28 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Der 13700HX bietet 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading und 12 Effizienzkerne (E-Cores) ohne Hyperthreading. Daher werden insgesamt 28 Threads unterstützt. Die P-Cores takten von 2,1 bis 5,3 GHz (Einzelkern) bzw. 4,7 GHz (alle Kerne) und die E-Cores von 1,5 bis 3,8 GHz. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt maximal DDR5 mit 5600 MHz.
Die neue Raptor Lake Architektur bietet im Vergleich zu Alder Lake verbesserte P-Cores (Raptor Cove Architektur mit mehr Cache), mehr E-Cores (selbe Gracemont Architektur) und höhere Taktraten dank des verbesserten Intel 7 Prozesses. Weiters unterstützt Intel bei den Topmodellen nun schnelleren DDR5 Hauptspeicher (bis 5600 MHz).
Der 13850HX wird im weiter verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Rembrandt Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3+ Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4,9 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 6nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und wurde Anfang 2022 vorgestellt. Als HS-Variante ist der TDP um 10W reduziert und dadurch eignet sich die CPU für dünnere Notebooks.
Die neuen Rembrandt APUs bieten einige Neuerungen, wie Support für USB4 mit 40 Gbps, PCI-E Gen 4, DDR5-4800MT/s bzw LPDDR5-6400MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE 5.2, DisplayPort 2 und AV1 Decode in Hardware.
Die CPU Leistung ist pro Takt vergleichbar mit den alten Ryzen 5000 APUs, dank des neuen 6nm Prozess sind die CPUs aber höher getaktet und dadurch etwas schneller. Die neuen Alder Lake-H Modelle (wie der i9-12900HK sollten durch die höhere Kernanzahl aber noch eine bessere Multi-Threaded-Performance zeigen). Durch den um 100 MHz reduzierten Turbo-Takt, sollte die Performance nur knapp hinter dem Effizienz-Spitzenmodell Ryzen 9 6980HS liegen. Im Vergleich zum ähnlichen R9 6900HX (45W, Übertaktung möglich), ist die Leistung bei längeren Lasten durch den verringerten TDP beim 6900HS limitiert.
Eine besondere Neuheit ist die aktualisierte Grafikkarte namens Radeon 680M , die nun endlich auf die aktuelle RDNA2-Architektur basiert und im 6900HX 12 CUs mit bis zu 2,4 GHz Takt bietet.
Der TDP ist bei den HS-Modellen mit 35 Watt spezifiziert, wodurch sich die CPU auch für dünnere Notebooks eignet.

Der 13700HX bietet 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Cores) ohne Hyperthreading. Daher werden insgesamt 20 Threads unterstützt. Die P-Cores takten von 2,1 bis 5 GHz (Einzelkern) bzw. 4,5 GHz (alle Kerne) und die E-Cores von 1,5 bis 3,7 GHz. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt maximal DDR5 mit 4800 MHz (und nicht 5600 MHz wie die i9 HX Modelle).
Die neue Raptor Lake Architektur bietet im Vergleich zu Alder Lake verbesserte P-Cores (Raptor Cove Architektur mit mehr Cache), mehr E-Cores (selbe Gracemont Architektur) und höhere Taktraten dank des verbesserten Intel 7 Prozesses. Die Performance sollte etwas oberhalb des älteren Alder Lake basierenden i7-12850HX liegen, welcher ebenfalls 16 Kerne bietet und bis zu 4,8 GHz taktet.
