Die CPU bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 1,8 bis 5,2 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,3 - 3,9 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Weiters unterstützt der i5-1365U vPro-Enterprise -Management-Features.
Performance
Durch die hohen Taktraten, ist die Performance etwas oberhalb des alten Core i7-1265U (max 4.8 GHz). Wie üblich bei Alder Lake ist die Performance stark abhängig von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1365U sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,3 GHz.

Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt LPDDR5-6400. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1365U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
AMD Ryzen 5 7520U ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 5 7520U ist ein Mobilprozessor für günstige Notebooks basierend auf die Mendocino Serie. Er integriert vier ältere Zen 2 Kerne (wie bei der Ryzen 4000 Mobile Serie) mit 2,8 - 4,3 GHz und 4 MB L3 Cache. Dank SMT/Hyperthreading können 8 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet werden. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Dual-Channel LPDDR5-5500 MHz. Die integrierte Grafikkarte nutzt die aktuelle RDNA 2 Architektur, jedoch nur mit 2 CUs (128 Shader) und taktet im 7520U mit bis zu 1,9 GHz.
Der Chip wird im relativ aktuellen 6nm FinFET Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt.
