► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i7-13620H ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der Raptor Lake-H Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 4,9 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo, alle Kerne bis 4,7 GHz). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6700HQ). Im Vergleich zum 13700H bietet der 13620H nur halb so viele E-Kerne und wahrscheinlich eine schwächere iGPU.
Performance
Durch die höhere Taktung, sollte sich der i7-13620H etwas vom alten Core i7-12650H abheben können, bleibt aber hinter den 14-Kern-Modellen zurück (wie z.B. Core i7-13700H).
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13620H sind nur 64 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,5 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt jetzt DDR5-5200 (im Vergleich zur 4800 MHz beim 12650H). Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-13620H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (115W PL2). Gefertigt wird der i7 im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Apple M3 Max 14-Core
► remove from comparisonDer Apple M3 Max 14 Kern CPU ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) von Apple für Notebooks der gegen Ende 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Er integriert eine neue 14-Kern-CPU mit 10 Performance Kernen mit bis zu 4,06 GHz und 4 Effizienzkernen mit 2,8 GHz. Es gibt auch eine stärkere 16-Kern-Variante mit 40-GPU-Kernen.
Die Prozessorleistung ist durch die höheren Taktraten und Architekturverbesserungen auch in Benchmarks deutlich besser als der M2 Max und kann mit den schnellsten mobilen CPUs mithalten.
Der M3 integriert weiters eine neue Grafikkarte mit Dynamic Caching, Mesh Shading und Ray-Tracing-Beschleunigung per Hardware. Im günstigeren Modell werden 30 der 40 Kerne des Chips genutzt und unterstützen bis zu 5 Displays gleichzeitig (internes und 4 externe).
GPU und CPU können gemeinsam auf den gemeinsamen Speicher auf dem Package zugreifen (Unified Memory). Dieser ist in 36 und 96 GB-Varianten erhältlich und bietet 400 GB/s maximale Bandbreite (512 Bit Bus).
Die integrierte 16-Kern Neural Engine wurde ebenfalls überarbeitet und bietet nun 18 TOPS Spitzenleistung (versus 15,8 TOPS beim M2 aber 35 TOPS im neuen A17 Pro). Die Video-Engine unterstützt nun auch AV1 Dekodierung in Hardware. H.264, HEVC und ProRes (RAW) können weiterhin de- und enkodiert werden. Der Max Chip bietet wie der Vorgänger zwei Video-Engines und kann daher zwei Streams gleichzeitig en- bzw. dekodieren.
Das integrierte WLAN unterstützt leider nur weiterhin WiFi 6E (kein WiFi 7), im Unterschied zum kleinen M3 SoC wird aber Thunderbolt 4 auch unterstützt (max 40 Gbit/s).
Der Chip wird im aktuellen 3nm Prozess (N3B) bei TSMC hergestellt und beinhaltet 92 Milliarden Transistoren (+37% vs. Apple M2 Max).
Intel Core i7-13700H

Die CPU bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove oder Raptor Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 5 GHz (Einzelkernturbo, 4,7 GHz für alle Kerne). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ).
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktraten der Rocket-Lake-Serie, kann der i7-13700H sich auf das Niveau des alten Core i9-12900H heben und gehört damit zu einer sehr schnellen mobilen CPU, die sich für alle Anwendungsbereiche hervorragend geeignet.
Grafikeinheit
