Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. der 1280P ist der schnellste Prozessor der P-Serie mit 28 Watt und sehr ähnlich zur 45W i7-12800H .
Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 4,8 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ ). Wie auch der Core i7-12800H bietet der i7-1280P ebenfalls das volle "Enterprise"-Set von vPro .
Performance
Durch die 14 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-H35-4-Kerner (z.B. i7-11375H ) liegen und bei kurzer Last auch mit dem 45W Core i7-12800H mithalten können. Bei längerer Last sollte jedoch das TDP-Limit und wahrscheinlich auch schwächere Kühlsysteme die Leistung deutlich limitieren.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12800H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist mit 28 Watt TDP und 64 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der 1280P im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
Intel Core i3-N300 ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i3-N300 ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Er wurde im Januar 2023 vorgestellt und bietet 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur) mit bis zu 3,8 GHz (3 GHz Multi-Core-Turbo). Die E-Kerne unterstützen kein HyperThreading und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Der i3 bietet keinerlei vPro Management Features.
Performance
Die Performance des i3 ist stark abhängig von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings. Wenn alle 8 Kerne ausgelastet werden, sollte er eine gute Multi-Thread-Performance bieten, jedoch wird der TDP von 7 Watt, bei längerer Last die Leistung deutlich einschränken. Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N nicht sehr hoch.
Grafikeinheit
Alder Lake-N integriert eine Xe basierende Grafikeinheit mit bis zu 32 EUs (Execution Units). Diese sind alle im i3-N305 aktiviert und takten bis 1,25 GHz. Durch die geringe Kernanzahl und die Einschränkung auf Single-Channel-RAM, ist die Spieleleistung aber deutlich eingeschränkt.

Der kleine Alder-Lake-N-Chip integriert teilweise Wi-Fi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 (im PCH). Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Single-Channel DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800 und LPDDR5-4800. Der Intel Processor N95 (fälschlich auch Celeron N95) ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Er wurde im Januar 2023 vorgestellt und bietet 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur) mit bis zu 3,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne unterstützen kein HyperThreading und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Ähnlich zum Processor N100 , jedoch mit höherem TDP und dadurch bei längerer Last wahrscheinlich leicht schneller.
Performance
Die Performance des N95 ist durch die Halbierung der Kerne deutlich schwächer als beim i3-N305 und etwas unterhalb des N200 (durch die geringere Taktraten). Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N eingeschränkt.
