Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. der 1280P ist der schnellste Prozessor der P-Serie mit 28 Watt und sehr ähnlich zur 45W i7-12800H .
Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 4,8 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ ). Wie auch der Core i7-12800H bietet der i7-1280P ebenfalls das volle "Enterprise"-Set von vPro .
Performance
Durch die 14 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-H35-4-Kerner (z.B. i7-11375H ) liegen und bei kurzer Last auch mit dem 45W Core i7-12800H mithalten können. Bei längerer Last sollte jedoch das TDP-Limit und wahrscheinlich auch schwächere Kühlsysteme die Leistung deutlich limitieren.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12800H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist mit 28 Watt TDP und 64 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der 1280P im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
Intel Core i3-10110U ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i3-10110U ist ein sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC der Comet-Lake-Architektur welche im August 2019 vorgestellt wurde. Im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake und Whiskey Lake gibt es bei Comet Lake anscheinend keine Unterschiede ausser den zwei zusätzlichen Kernen im Topmodell (daher nicht hier beim i3). Der Prozessor wird weiterhin im reifen 14nm Prozess (14nm++ wie Whiskey Lake) hergestellt und kann dadurch einen sehr hohen Turbo Takt bieten. Die Prozessorkerne takten mit 2,1 bis 4,1 GHz (3,7 Kerne maximal 4,3 GHz) und können dank HyperThreading 4 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten.

Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört wahrscheinlich weiterhin auf den Namen Intel UHD Graphics 620 , bietet jedoch beim Core i3 nur 23 der 24 EUs und dadurch eine geringere Leistung. Sie taktet auch nurm it niedrigen 300 - 1000 MHz.Weiters bietet die CPU noch einen integrierten DDR4-2666 / LPDDR4x 2933 / LPDDR3-2133 Dual-Channel-Speichercontroller sowie VP9- und H.265-Videode- und -encoder.
Performance
Die Leistung des i3-10110U hängt stark vom konfigurierten TDP, wie lange der Boost laufen darf und von der Kühlung ab. Dadurch kann es zu einer hohen Schwankungsbreite kommen. Durch die höheren Taktraten sollte der i3 auch die alten Whiskey Lake Core i3 Dual Core knapp abhängen können (wenn die Kühlung mitspielt).
Per cTDP up/down kann der Stromverbrauch und die Leistung vom Notebookhersteller von 10 auf 25 Watt eingestellt werden. Die CPU unterstützt kein vPro.
