Der Intel Core i7-1255U ist eine High-End Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-M Chip (für die U-Serie) und bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 4,7 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum i7-1265U (schnellste U-Serie CPU zum Launch), bietet der 1255U um 100 MHz geringer getaktete CPU Kerne und nur vPro "Essentials" Features.
Performance
Durch die 10 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 15 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i7-1160G7 ). Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i7 dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich hoch getaktete Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1255P sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,25 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1255U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Rembrandt Refresh Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 3+ Kerne (Hexa-Core CPU) welche mit 3,3 GHz (garantierter Basistakt) bis zu 4,55 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (12 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 6nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und wurde Anfang 2023 vorgestellt. Im Vergleich zum älteren Ryzen 5 6600HS , bietet der 7535HS einen 50 MHz höheren Boost-Takt und kann auf bis zu 54 Watt TDP konfiguriert werden.
Die Rembrandt APUs bieten einige aktuelle Features, wie Support für USB4 mit 40 Gbps, PCI-E Gen 4 und DDR5-4800MT/s bzw LPDDR5-6400MT/s.
Die Leistung ist je nach eingesetztem TDP vergleichbar mit dem Ryzen 5 6600HS (35 Watt TDP) bzw. Ryzen 5 6600H (55 Watt TDP) .
Der Ryzen 5 7535HS integriert nur die kleine Radeon 660M mit 6 der 12 CUs und 1,9 GHz Takt welche noch auf die ältere RDNA2 Architektur basiert.
Der TDP ist mit 35 - 54 Watt spezifiziert, wodurch sich die CPU auch für dünnere (Gaming-)Notebooks eignet.
