Der Intel Core i7-11700 ist eine High-End-CPU mit acht Kernen auf Basis der Rocket-Lake-Architektur, welche bereits im April 2020 angekündigt wurde. Der Prozessor taktet mit 2,5 - 4,9 GHz und kann dank Hyperthreading bis zu 16 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten. Gefertigt wird der Intel Core i7-11700 im 14-nm-Prozess. Bei der non-K-Variante handelt es sich zudem um einen sehr energiesparenden Prozessor bei dem der Multiplikator nicht frei wählbar ist.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i7-107 00 bietet auch der Intel Core i7-11700 eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Mit den neuen Intel UHD Graphics 750 erhöht Intel die Performance der iGPU aber deutlich, denn hierbei dient die Intel Iris XE-Architektur als Basis. Im 11700K taktet sie mit 350 - 1300 MHz und bietet alle 32 EUs.
Performance
Die Leistung reiht sich zwischen i5-11600K und i7-11700K ein und eignet sich sehr gut für Spiele und anspruchsvolle Anwendungen. Mit den aktuellen Ryzen 7 CPUs auf Zen 3 Basis, kann die CPU aber nicht mithalten.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-11700 ist mit einer TDP von 65 Watt angegeben, was dem PL1-Wert entspricht. Im Boost kann die Leistung des Prozessors dennoch bis auf 224 Watt (PL2) gesteigert werden. Voraussetzung ist aber eine gute Kühlung, damit die erhöhte Leistung maximal 56 Sekunden (Tau) abgerufen werden kann.
Intel Core i7-1165G7 ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7-1165G7 ist ein sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC für Notebooks und Ultrabooks, der auf der Tiger-Lake-Architektur basiert und im September 2020 vorgestellt wurde. Tiger Lake wird im verbesserten 10nm+-Verfahren (SuperFin genannt) bei Intel gefertigt und nutzt die neuen Willow Cove CPU-Kerne mit einer neuen Mikroarchitektur. Der i7-1165G7 bietet vier Kerne mit 2,8 GHz Basistakt und 4,7 GHz Turbo-Takt (4,1 GHz für alle Kerne). Dadurch liegt die Leistung deutlich oberhalb des alten Ice-Lake basierten Core i7-1065G7 . Zum Zeitpunkt der Vorstellung ist der i7-1165G7 das zweit-schnellste Tiger-Lake-Modell hinter dem Core i7-1186G7 (+100-200 MHz CPU Takt).
Eine weitere Neuerung ist die integrierte Intel Iris Xe G7 Grafikkarte (Gen 12) welche eine deutlich höhere Leistung wie die alte Iris Plus G7 in Ice Lake bieten soll. Im 1165G7 bietet die Iris Xe alle 96 EUs bei einem Takt von 400 - 1300 MHz (1185G7 bis zu 1350 MHz).
Wie bisher wird auch weiterhin WLAN (Wifi 6) und nun auch Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 und 4 Lanes PCIe 4 im Chip (teil-)integriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks.
Der TDP kann bei den UP3 CPUs von 12 - 28 Watt gewählt werden und dadurch eignet sich die CPU auch für dünne und leichte Notebooks.
