Der Intel Core i7-10875H ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur basiert (CML-H, 4. Generation der Skylake Architektur). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2,3 - 5,1 GHz (4,3 bei allen 8 Kernen, 4,9 Boost ohne Thermal Velocity). Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Core i9-10885H , bietet der i7-10875H etwas geringere Taktraten.
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Comet Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und auch die Fertigung ist im Vergleich zu Coffee Lake die selbe (14nm++). Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt nun DDR4-2933.
Der i7-10875H unterstützt die Businessfeatures vPro, TXT und SIPP.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i7-10875H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks. Optional kann er per Configurable TDP-down auf 35 Watt gedrosselt werden (mit dadurch geringerer Leistung).

Der AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Cezanne Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4,6 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll Anfang 2021 vorgestellt werden. Die HS-Version ist im Vergleich zum normalen 5900HX (35-52 W) auf 35 Watt TDP limitiert.
Die neue Zen 3 Microarchitektur bringt im Desktop laut AMD eine um 19% höhere IPC (Instructions per Clock) Performance. In Anwendungs-Tests bei gleichem Takt waren es meist gegen 12%, bei Spielen noch deutlich mehr.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 8 Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2000 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4200 Speicherkontroller und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist beim HS auf 35 Watt spezifiziert (5900HX bis zu 54 Watt).
