Der Intel Core i7-10870H ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur basiert (CML-H, 4. Generation der Skylake Architektur). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2, - 5 GHz (4,2 bei allen 8 Kernen, 4,8 Boost ohne Thermal Velocity). Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Core i7-10875H , bietet der i7-10870H 100 MHz geringere Taktfrequenzen der CPU-Kerne.
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Comet Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und auch die Fertigung ist im Vergleich zu Coffee Lake die selbe (14nm++). Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt nun DDR4-2933.
Der i7-10875H unterstützt die Businessfeatures vPro, TXT und SIPP.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i7-10875H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks. Optional kann er per Configurable TDP-down auf 35 Watt gedrosselt werden (mit dadurch geringerer Leistung).
Intel Core i5-11500B ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-11500B ist ein Hexa-Core-Prozessor für Gaming-Notebooks, kleine Workstations oder auch Mini-PCs. Er basiert auf die Tiger-Lake-Architektur (H45) und wurde im 2. Quartal 2021 präsentiert. Der Chip bietet einen TDP von 65 Watt (konfigurierbar). Die sechs Prozessorkerne können von 3,3 bis 4,6 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) takten. Der Prozessor bietet 12 MB Level 3 Cache und unterstützt DDR4-RAM mit bis zu 3.200 MT/s. Die integrierte Grafik basiert auf der Xe-Architektur und ist UHD Graphics benannt (32 EUs). Im 11500B taktet sie von 350 bis 1.450 MHz. Der Chip wird im 10 nm SuperFin Prozess gefertigt.
Performance
Die Leistung des Intel Core i5-11500B hängt primär von der Leistungsfähigkeit der verbauten Kühleinheit ab. Zudem lässt sich die TDP des SoC auch absenken. Grundsätzlich sollte der Intel Core i5-11500B aber etwas mehr Leistung als ein Intel Core i5-11400H bieten.
Features
Wie bei den kleineren Tiger-Lake-Chips wird auch hier WLAN (Wi-Fi 6E) und Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 im Chip (teil-)integriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks. Des Weiteren bietet der i5-11500B 20 PCIe 4.0 Lanes.

Der Intel Core i9-10980HK ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur basiert (CML-H, 4. Generation der Skylake Architektur). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2,4 GHz bis 5,3 GHz (Ein- und Zweikern Turbo, alle 8 Kerne mit maximal 4,4 GHz). Die 5,3 GHz können nur mittel Thermal Velocity Boost erreicht werden, das heißt die CPU muss unter 65°C heiß sein. Zwischen 65 und 85°C erreicht er noch 5,2 GHz. Die K-Version bezeichnet die Übertaktungsmöglichkeiten der CPU.
Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger dem Core i9-9980H wurden nur die Taktfrequenzen erhöht (eventuell nur der garantierter Basistakt), sonst gibt es keine Unterschiede. Als "K"-Modell bietet der 9980HK einen offenen Multiplikator und kann dadurch relativ einfach übertaktet werden.
