Der Intel Core i7-10870H ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur basiert (CML-H, 4. Generation der Skylake Architektur). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2, - 5 GHz (4,2 bei allen 8 Kernen, 4,8 Boost ohne Thermal Velocity). Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Core i7-10875H , bietet der i7-10870H 100 MHz geringere Taktfrequenzen der CPU-Kerne.
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Comet Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und auch die Fertigung ist im Vergleich zu Coffee Lake die selbe (14nm++). Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt nun DDR4-2933.
Der i7-10875H unterstützt die Businessfeatures vPro, TXT und SIPP.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i7-10875H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks. Optional kann er per Configurable TDP-down auf 35 Watt gedrosselt werden (mit dadurch geringerer Leistung).
Intel Core i3-1215U ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i3-1215U ist eine Mid-Range Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-M Chip (für die U-Serie) und bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 8 Threads) und takten von 1,2 bis 4,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 0,9 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Der Core i3 bietet keine vPro Features für Management.
Performance
Durch die 6 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 15 Watt 2-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i3-1115G4 ). Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i3 dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich hoch getaktete Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1215U sind 64 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,1 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i3-1215U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
Intel Core i5-10300H ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-10300H ist ein Quad-Core-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur (4. Generation der Skylake Architektur) basiert. Er taktet die vier Prozessorkerne mit 2,5 - 4,5 GHz (4,2 GHz wenn alle 4 Kerne ausgelastet sind). Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann wahrscheinlich vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger dem Intel Core i5-9300H wurde nur der Takt um 100 MHz (Base) bis 400 MHz (Boost) (und ev. GPU) erhöht, sonst gibt es keine Unterschiede.
Die Leistung des i5-10300H ist bei guter Kühlung auf dem Niveau des alten Core i7-8750H (6 Kerne aber geringere Taktfrequenzen). Bei Tests die alle Threads nutzen, sind die 6-Kerner und 8-Kerner aber noch klar schneller. Der alte Core i5-9300H kann durch die höheren Taktfrequenzen aber deutlich abgehängt werden. Generell, eignet sich die CPU gut für Multitasking und auch anspruchsvolle Aufgaben, sehr schnelle Grafikkarten werden aber etwas ausgebremst vom 10300H.

Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i5-10300H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks, per "configurable TDP-down" kann die CPU auch mit 35 Watt betrieben werden, bei geringerer Leistung (Turbo wird nicht so lange gehalten).
