Der Intel Core i5-13500HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks.
Die insgesamt 20 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Der 13650HX bietet 6 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Cores) ohne Hyperthreading. Die P-Cores takten von 2,5 (Base) - 4,7 GHz (Single-Core-Boost) bzw 4,5 GHz (alle Kerne). Die E-Cores takten von 1,8 GHz - 3,5 GHz.
Die neue Raptor Lake Architektur bietet im Vergleich zu Alder Lake verbesserte P-Cores (Raptor Cove Architektur mit mehr Cache), mehr E-Cores (selbe Gracemont Architektur) und höhere Taktraten dank des verbesserten Intel 7 Prozesses. Weiters unterstützt Intel bei den Topmodellen nun schnelleren DDR5 Hauptspeicher (bis 5600 MHz bei den i9, jedoch nur 4800 MHz beim 13500HX).
Die Performance sollte knapp unterhalb des Intel Core i5-12650HX liegen (14 Kerne, Alder Lake, bis 4,8 GHz).
Der 13500HX wird im weiter verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Workstation Laptops) basierend auf die Rembrandt Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3+ Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche mit 3,2 GHz (garantierter Basistakt) bis zu 4,7 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 6nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und wurde im April 2022 vorgestellt. Im Vergleich zum Consumer R7 6800H , bietet der 6850HS zusätzliche Management und Security Features wie den Microsoft Pluton Security Prozessor.
Die neuen Rembrandt APUs bieten einige Neuerungen, wie Support für USB4 mit 40 Gbps, PCI-E Gen 4, DDR5-4800MT/s bzw LPDDR5-6400MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE 5.2, DisplayPort 2 und AV1 Decode in Hardware.
Die CPU Leistung ist pro Takt vergleichbar mit den alten Ryzen 5000 APUs, dank des neuen 6nm Prozess sind die CPUs aber höher getaktet und dadurch etwas schneller. Der 6850H sollte daher zwischen Ryzen 9 5980HX und Ryzen 9 5900HX sich einordnen. Die neuen Alder Lake H-Serie CPUs sollten jedoch eine höhere Leistung bieten (z.b. i7-12800H ).
Eine besondere Neuheit ist die aktualisierte Grafikkarte namens Radeon 680M , die nun endlich auf die aktuelle RDNA2-Architektur basiert und im 6850H 12 CUs mit bis zu 2,2 GHz Takt bietet.
Der TDP ist weiterhin mit 45 Watt spezifiziert (die schnelleren X-Modelle dürfen laut AMD auch mehr Strom ziehen).

Der Intel Core i9-13900HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2023 vorgestellt und ist anscheinend ähnlich zur Desktop Core i9-13900K , jedoch mit niedrigeren Taktraten.
Die insgesamt 32 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Dabei kommen nach wie vor 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading zum Einsatz. Die Anzahl der energieeffizienten E-Cores hat sich indes auf 16 erhöht, sodass in Summe 32 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Die P-Kerne takten von 2,2 GHz (Basistakt) bis 5,4 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) und die E-Kerne von 1,6 GHz bis 3,9 GHz.

Performance
Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i9-12900HX bietet der Core i9-13900HX weiterhin 8 Kerne, welche aber durch 16 weitere E-Cores bei anspruchsvollen Anwendungen entlastet werden und somit für eine sehr hohe Multi-Thread-Performance sorgen. Die E-Cores kümmern sich in erster Linie um Hintergrundanwendungen. Die hybride Architektur vertraut dabei auf den Intel Thread Direktor, der für die richtige Zuteilung der Aufgaben zuständig ist. Im Vergleich zu Alder-Lake konnte die IPC deutlich gesteigert werden. Zusammen mit dem deutlich höheren Boost profitiert die CPU in allen Belangen von einer deutlich spürbaren Leistungssteigerung.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i9-12900HX bietet der Intel Core i9-13900HX eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Als Basis dient weiterhin die Intel Iris XE-Architektur. Rein leistungstechnisch hat sich bei der neuen Intel UHD Graphics 770 aber nicht viel verändert.
Der 13900HX wird im weiter verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
