► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i5-13420H ist eine Mittelklasse-CPU auf Basis der Raptor Lake-H Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU bietet 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 2,1 bis 4,6 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo, Mehrkern-Turbo 4,5 GHz). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,5 - 3,4 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ). Im Vergleich zum 12500H bietet der 12420H nur die Hälfte der E-Cores und einen geringeren Boost-Takt der P-Cores.
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktraten (+200 MHz Boost) sollte sich der i5-13420H leicht vom alten i5-12450H absetzen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13420H sind nur 48 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt nun DDR5-5200 (12. Generation nur max. 4800 MHz). Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist weiterhin in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i5-13420H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (95W PL2). Gefertigt wird der i5 im weiter verbeserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
AMD Ryzen 3 5125C
► remove from comparisonDer AMD Ryzen 3 5125C ist ein Mobilprozessor für Chromebooks basierend auf die Cezanne Generation. Der 5125C ist Teil des "Barcelo" Refresh in 2022 und ist der langsamste Prozessor der Serie. Der SoC beinhaltet zwei Zen 3 Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 3 GHz getaktet werden und SMT / Hyperthreading (4 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt.
Der SoC integriert neben den zwei Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 3 Grafikkarte mit 3 CUs und bis zu 1200 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default, in den meisten Notebooks aber 25 Watt). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Core i7-13700H
► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i7-13700H ist eine High-End-CPU der Raptor-Lake-H Serie (RPL-H). Im Unterschied zu RPL-HX, ist die H-Serie sehr ähnlich zu den alten Alder-Lake-Prozessoren. Die CPU bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove oder Raptor Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 5 GHz (Einzelkernturbo, 4,7 GHz für alle Kerne). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ).
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktraten der Rocket-Lake-Serie, kann der i7-13700H sich auf das Niveau des alten Core i9-12900H heben und gehört damit zu einer sehr schnellen mobilen CPU, die sich für alle Anwendungsbereiche hervorragend geeignet.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13700H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,5 GHz.
