Die AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL bzw. Radeon RX Vega 870 (laut Dell) ist die integrierte Grafikkarte in den schwächeren Intel Kaby-Lake-G SoCs, wie dem Core i7-8706G, i7-8706G oder i5-8305G. Sie wurde Anfang 2018 von Intel vorgestellt und befindet sich direkt auf dem selben Package wie der Kaby-Lake Prozessor und 4 GB HBM2 Grafikspeicher. Nach ersten veröffentlichten Benchmarks von Intel sollte die Leistung zwischen einer GTX 1050 und GTX 1050 Ti liegen. Die Treiber werden von Intel veröffentlicht, sind jedoch anscheinend nur leicht modifizierte AMD Treiber. Die Vega M GL nutzt 20 CUs (1280 Shader) bei einer Taktrate von 931 bis 1011 MHz (Boost).

Anscheinend ist die Grafikkarte eine Mischung aus Polaris (Shader?) und Vega (zumindest dem Speicherkontroller). Nähere Informationen gibt es nicht, jedoch gibt sich die GPU als Polaris 22 aus und unterstützt auch nicht die selben DirectX 12 Features wie die Vega Desktop Grafikkarten. Der Stromverbrauch sollte ähnlich einer dedizierten Vega Mobile GPU sein, wobei die Kaby-Lake-G Kombination eventuell durch eine gemeinsame Stromversorgung effizienter arbeiten kann.

Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (N17P-G1) ist eine Einstiegs-Gaming-Grafikkarte für Desktops. Sie basiert auf die Pascal Architektur und wird in 14 nm FinFET bei Samsung gefertigt (im Unterschied zu den größeren Pascal Chips, welche in 16nm bei TSMC gefertigt werden). Sie basiert auf den kleinen GP107 Chip und ist spezifiziert mit einem TDP von 75 Watt. Als übliche Speicherausstattung gibt Nvidia 4 GB GDDR5 an. Das mobile Pendant (GTX 1050 Ti für Notebooks) wird später vorgestellt (Gerüchte sprechen von Anfang 2017) und sollte eine ähnliche Leistung bieten.

Die Performance in unseren Tests reiht sich zwischen Radeon RX 460 und RX 470 auf dem Niveau der alten GeForce GTX 960 (bzw 970M) ein. Dadurch eignet sich die Karte gut für 1920x1080 in hohen Detail Settings (ausser bei sehr anspruchsvollen Spielen, siehe Benchmarks unten).

Besonders am Windows Desktop ist die GTX 1050 Ti sehr sparsam. Unser MSI Sample brauchte nur 5 Watt mehr als die integriert Grafikkarte im Prozessor. Mehr Details erfahren Sie im ausführlichen Testbericht der MSI GTX 1050 Ti.

AMD Radeon Pro WX Vega M GL

Die AMD Radeon WX Vega M GL  ist die integrierte Grafikkarte in den schwächeren Intel Kaby-Lake-G SoCs, wie dem Core i7-8706G. Sie entspricht der Consumer Variante Radeon RX Vega M GL in den gleich genannten CPUs jedoch mit professionellen Treibern. Die AMD Radeon Pro (ehemals FirePro) Serie ist das Gegenstück zur Quadro Serie von Nvidia und bietet zertifizierte Treiber für professionelle 3D Anwendungen (CAD und DCC). Durch einige freigeschaltene Features und Optimierungen ist die Performance in derartigen Programmen dadurch deutlich besser als bei Consumer Radeon Grafikchips.

Die Gragfikkarte befindet sich direkt auf dem selben Package wie der Kaby-Lake Prozessor und 4 GB HBM2 Grafikspeicher. Die Treiber werden von Intel veröffentlicht, sind jedoch anscheinend nur leicht modifizierte AMD Treiber. Daher ist die langfristige Treiberversorgung etwas fraglich.

Die Vega M GL nutzt 20 CUs (1280 Shader) bei einer Taktrate von 931 bis 1011 MHz (Boost).
