Die AMD Radeon RX Vega 5 ist eine integrierte Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie befindet sich in der Ryzen 3 4300U APU, welche Anfang 2020 vorgestellt wurden. Die GPU basiert auf die Vega Architektur (5. Generation GCN) und bietet 5 CUs (= 320 Shader) mit bis zu 1400 MHz Taktrate. Die Leistung ist abhängig vom konfigurierten TDP (12-25 Watt zum Launch), der Taktung im Modell, der Kühlung und vom verbauten Hauptspeicher. Von schnellem Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 Speicher dürfte die Grafikkarte deutlich profitieren (im Gegensatz zu auch möglichen Single-Channel-Konfigurationen).

Die Leistung sollte je nach Version etwas unterhalb der Radeon RX Vega 6 sein (6 CUs, aber lansamere Taktraten bei den Ryzen 3000 APUs). Damit sollten nur wenige aktuelle Spiele spielbar sein (wie Fifa 20 oder F1 2019 in minimaler Detailstufe).

Die Vega Architektur bietet einige Verbesserungen zur Polaris Generation und unterstützt nun z.B. DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1. Mehr Informationen dazu finden Sie in unserem Raven Ridge Architekturartikel.

Der Stromverbrauch ist dank 7nm Prozess und ausgeklügelten Stromsparmechanismen relativ gering (laut AMD) und daher eignet sich die Grafikkarte auch für dünne und leichte Notebooks.

AMD Radeon RX 5700M

Die AMD Radeon RX 5700M ist eine high-end Notebook-Grafikkarte von AMD basierend auf der neuen RDNA Architektur und den Navi 10 Chip. Nutzt schnellen GDDR6 Grafikspeicher und soll laut AMD zwischen der -Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 und 2080 (für Notebooks) angesiedelt sein (3DMark 11 Performance). Sie bietet keine Hardwareunterstützung für Raytracing.

Der Stromverbrauch des Chips ist mit 120 Watt spezifiziert und damit deutlich weniger als bei der Desktop Radeon RX 5700 (150 Watt), aber auch deutlich mehr als bei der langsameren RX 5500M (85 Watt).

AMD Radeon RX 5600M

Die AMD Radeon RX 5600M (oder RX 5600 Mobile Graphics) ist eine Notebook-GPU der Mittelklasse und wird im 7nm Verfahren gefertigt. Der Grafikprozessor verfügt über 2.304 Shadereinheiten, sowie 12 Gbps GDDR6 Grafikspeicher. Die Taktrate soll je nach Notebook variieren und kann bis zu 1265 MHz (Base) und 1560 MHz (Boost) wie im Desktop bei der 5600 XT betragen.

Features

RDNA dient als Basis für den Navi 10 getauften Grafikchip und löst damit die GCN-Architektur der älteren Grafikkarten ab. RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) bietet den Nutzern die Möglichkeit einer detaillierteren Darstellung ohne großen Leistungsverlust. Mit der neuen Media Engine lassen sich nun Videos mit einer Auflösung von bis zu 8K dekodieren und die neue Display Engine unterstützt Bildschirme mit bis zu 8K bei 60Hz inklusive HDR oder 4K HDR mit 144Hz. 

Performance

Die Leistung der AMD Radeon RX 5600M soll laut AMD auf dem Niveau einer Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 liegen. Damit sollte Full HD mit hohen oder maximaler Detailstufe bei anspruchsvollen Spielen möglich sein.

Der Chip wird soll bei 60 Watt TDP starten (wahrscheinlich mit geringen Taktraten als 1660 Ti Max-Q Konkurrent).
