Die Nvidia T1200 Laptop GPU (früher Quadro T1200 für Laptops) ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für Notebooks und mobile Workstations der Mittelklasse. Sie basiert auf den selben TU117 Turing-Chip wie die Consumer GTX 1650 Ti für Laptops. Im Gegensatz zur stärkeren RTX A2000, bietet die T1200 keine Raytracing und Tensor-Kerne.

Die Leistung der T1200 für Laptops hängt stark von der eingesetzten TGP-Variante und Kühlung ab. Diese kann laut Nvidia von 35 - 95 Watt maximalen Stromverbrauch festgesetzt werden und unterscheidet sich daher deutlich bei Taktraten und Performance. Daher ist es wichtig zu wissen welche TGP Variante im Notebook eingesetzt wird. Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 35+ Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, WhisperMode).

Die professionellen Grafikkarten bieten zertifizierte Treiber, welche auf Stabiltität und Performance bei professionellen Anwendungen (CAD-, DCC-, Medizin-, Prospektions-, Visualisierungsanwendungen) optimiert sind. Dadurch ist die Performance im Vergleich zu den Consumergrafikkarten mit gleichem Chip in diesen Bereichen deutlich besser.

Bei der Turing Architektur gab es auch auf der Ebene der CUDA-Kerne deutliche Verbesserungen. Float und INT Operationen können nun gleichzeitig ausgeführt werden, der Cache wurde vereinheitlicht und verbessert und Adaptive Shading eingeführt. Nvidia spricht dadurch von einer bis zu 50% höheren Leistung pro Kern im Vergleich zu Pascal. Bei den stärkeren Modellen wird jedoch schon der Nachfolger, die Ampere Generation, eingesetzt.

Die Nvidia Quadro P4200 ist eine mobile High-End-Workstation-Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert derzeit auf keiner Consumer Karte direkt und positioniert sich zwischen Quadro P5000 und Quadro P5200 für Notebooks. Sie bietet 2304 Shader und 8 GB GDDR5 Grafikspeicher bei 115 Watt TGP (maximaler Stromverbrauch). Der Speicher ist mit 256 Bit angebunden und soll bis zu 224 GB/s Bandbreite schaffen. Verglichen zu Consumergrafikkarten, positioniert sich die Quadro P4200 zwischen der GTX 1070 und 1080. Sie ist als schnelle Max-P und als effiziente Max-Q Variante (mit reduzierten Taktraten) erhältlich. Die Max-P Variante erreicht laut Nvidia bis zu 7.6 TFLOPS Single Precision Peak Performance und ist damit etwa 23% schneller als die P5000.

Die Nvidia Quadro P4000 ist eine mobile High-End-Workstation-Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert derzeit auf keiner Consumer Karte direkt und positioniert sich zwischen Quadro P3000 (GTX 1060) und Quadro P5000 (GTX 1070) ein. Sie bietet 1792 Shader und dürfte daher auf den selben GP104 Chip der P5000 (2048 Shader) basieren. Sie bietet 8 GB GDDR5 bei gleicher Bandbreite und ist ebenfalls mit 100 Watt TGP (73.4 W TDP) von Nvidia spezifiziert.

Die Quadro-Grafikkarten bieten zertifizierte Treiber, welche auf Stabiltität und Performance bei professionellen Anwendungen (CAD-, DCC-, Medizin-, Prospektions-, Visualisierungsanwendungen) optimiert sind.
