Die AMD Radeon RX 7700S ist eine Notebook-GPU der gehobenen Mittelklasse und basiert auf den Navi 33 mit RDNA 3 Architektur. Die RX7600S bietet 2.048 Shader (32 CUs), einen 128 Bit Speicherbus für 8 GB GDDR6 und 32 MB Infinity Cache. Der durchschnittliche Takt bei Spielen (Game Clock) wird von AMD mit 2200 MHz spezifiziert (und damit 100 MHz geringer als bei der RX 7600M XT). Mit maximal 100 W TGP ist die 7700S aber etwas effizienter.

Die Spieleleistung ist laut AMD deutlich oberhalb der alten RX 6700S angesiedelt und nur knapp hinter der RX 7600M XT. Damit sollte auch die RTX 3060 für Desktops hinter sich gelassen werden. Die Raytracing Performance hat sich mit RDNA 3 zwar deutlich erhöht, kann mit Nvidia jedoch noch nicht mithalten.

Die integrierte Media-Engine unterstützt 4K H.264, H.265/HEVC und AV1 De- und Encoding.

Der Navi 33 Chip wird bei TSMC in 6nm gefertigt. AMD spezifiziert den TGP mit bis zu 75 bis 100 Watt.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950

Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 ist eine Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte für Desktop-PCs und basiert auf dem Maxwell-Grafikchip GM206 in 28 nm. Dieser bietet 768 Shader-Einheiten, 48 TMUs sowie 32 ROPs. Die Speicherausstattung beträgt 2 GB GDDR5 (6,6 GHz Effektivtakt) an einem 128-Bit-Interface.

Im Mittel liegt die Performance etwa auf dem Niveau der AMD-Modelle Radeon R9 270X und R7 370. Damit platziert sich die GTX 950 vor dem Notebook-Modell GeForce GTX 965M, welches zwar 33 % mehr Rechenwerke, dafür jedoch niedrigere Taktraten aufweist (924-950 vs. 1.024-1.188 MHz @Kern).

Als Features werden CUDA, 3D Vision, PhysX, GeForce Experience, Surround, GameStream, GPU Boost 2.0, Adaptive Vertical Sync bzw. G-SYNC, SLI, DSR und MFAA unterstützt. Als Besonderheit ist weiterhin der H.265-fähige Videoen- und -decoder hervorzuheben.

Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti ist eine High-End Desktop-Grafikkarte basierend auf der Maxwell-Architektur in 28 nm. Das Luxus-Modell nutzt den großen GM200-Chip mit 2.816 CUDA-Kernen (versus 2048 bei der GTX 980). Damit ist sie Mitte 2015 die schnellste Single-Chip-GPU für Desktop-PCs und wurde erst im Mai 2016 von der GTX 1080 abgelöst. Technisch ist sie mit der NVidia Titan X verwandt welche den selben GM200 Chip nutzt, jedoch mehr Grafikspeicher bietet.

Als Features werden CUDA, 3D Vision, PhysX, GeForce Experience, Surround, GameStream, GPU Boost 2.0, Adaptive Vertical Sync/ G-SYNC, SLI, DSR, MFAA und Virtual Reality Latenzverbesserungen unterstützt.
