Die AMD Radeon RX 6550M ist eine Notebook-GPU der Einstiegsklasse und basiert auf den Navi 24 Chip mit RDNA 2 Architektur. Die RX6550M bietet 1024 Shader (16 CUs), einen 64 Bit Speicherbus für 4 GB GDDR6 und 16 MB Infinity Cache. Die Taktrate bei typischer Spielelast wird von AMD mit 2560 MHz spezifiziert. 

Die Spieleleistung sollte je nach Anwendung leicht oberhalb der RX 6500M liegen. Der halbierte Speicherbus kann jedoch auch zu deutlichen Nachteilen führen.

Der Navi 24 Chip wird bei TSMC in 6nm gefertigt und sollte daher eine gute Energieeffizienz aufweisen. Die RX6550M ist mit 50 - 80 Watt spezifiziert und eignet sich daher für normale Multimedia-Notebooks.

AMD Radeon RX 7700S

Die AMD Radeon RX 7700S ist eine Notebook-GPU der gehobenen Mittelklasse und basiert auf den Navi 33 mit RDNA 3 Architektur. Die RX7600S bietet 2.048 Shader (32 CUs), einen 128 Bit Speicherbus für 8 GB GDDR6 und 32 MB Infinity Cache. Der durchschnittliche Takt bei Spielen (Game Clock) wird von AMD mit 2200 MHz spezifiziert (und damit 100 MHz geringer als bei der RX 7600M XT). Mit maximal 100 W TGP ist die 7700S aber etwas effizienter.

Die Spieleleistung ist laut AMD deutlich oberhalb der alten RX 6700S angesiedelt und nur knapp hinter der RX 7600M XT. Damit sollte auch die RTX 3060 für Desktops hinter sich gelassen werden. Die Raytracing Performance hat sich mit RDNA 3 zwar deutlich erhöht, kann mit Nvidia jedoch noch nicht mithalten.

Die integrierte Media-Engine unterstützt 4K H.264, H.265/HEVC und AV1 De- und Encoding.

Der Navi 33 Chip wird bei TSMC in 6nm gefertigt. AMD spezifiziert den TGP mit bis zu 75 bis 100 Watt.

AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT

Die AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT ist eine High-End-Notebook-GPU basierend auf der neuen RDNA 2 Architektur. Sie nutzt den Navi 22 Chip und bietet alle 2.560 Shader (=40 CUs), 160 TMUs, 64 ROPs. Damit entspricht sie der Desktop Radeon RX 6700 XT mit abweichenden Taktraten. Der TDP ist mit 135 - 165 Watt spezifiziert und bei diesem soll der "Game Clock" 2.463 MHz betragen. Damit soll die theoretische Leistung 13,3 TFLOPS (SP) betragen. Der 192-Bit Speicherbus bindet 12 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit 18 Gbps an. Der Infinity Cache beträgt 96 MB. Im Vergleich zur RX 6800M wurden die Taktraten von GPU und Speicher leicht erhöht.

Die Spieleleistung ist je nach Spiel zwischen RTX 3070 und RTX 3080 einzuordnen. Wenn Raytracing genutzt wird, fällt sie etwas stärker zurück, da hier die RTX-Einheiten der GeForce-GPUs stärker sind (oder besser genutzt werden).

Die GPU wird bei TSMC in 7m gefertigt und sollte daher wie die Desktop-GPUs bei der Effizienz mit Nvidia gut mithalten können.
