Die AMD Radeon R9 M385X ist eine Notebook-Grafikkarte der gehobenen Mittelklasse. Sie basiert auf der der GCN-Architektur (Graphics Core Next) und wird in einem 28-Nanometer-Prozess gefertigt. Sie bietet 14 Compute Units (896 Stream Prozessoren bzw. Shader) und ein 128 Bit GDDR5 Speicherinterface (getaktet mit 1500 MHz = 6000 MHz effektiv). Der Chip unterstützt DirectX 12 (Feature Level 11_1 von DirectX 11.1) und wird z.b. im Lenovo Y700 mit AMD FX-8800P APU eingesetzt.

Performance

Die Performance der Radeon R9 M385X liegt etwa auf dem Niveau der Nvidia-Konkurrenten GeForce GTX 850M und GTX 950M. Dies genügt, um viele aktuelle Spiele des Jahres 2015/2016 in mittleren Einstellungen und WXGA- oder FullHD-Auflösung darzustellen.

Leistungsaufnahme

Durch die vergleichsweise hohen Taktraten benötigt die M385X relativ viel Leistung und dürfte unter Volllast etwa 70 Watt aufnehmen. Dies ist etwas mehr als bei der direkten Konkurrenz und führt dazu, dass die Karte vorrangig für größere 17-Zoll-Notebooks geeignet ist.

Die AMD Radeon R9 M390 ist eine mobile Grafikkarte aus 2015 der gehobenen Mittelklasse. Sie basiert wahrscheinlich auf den älteren Pitcairn Chip (2012 in der Desktop 7870 vorgestellt) und bietet 1024 Shaderkerne mit einer Taktrate von 958 MHz. Weiters sind 2GB GDDR5 Grafikspeicher per 256 Bit Bus angebunden. Verbaut wird die GPU im 27-Zoll-iMac aus 2015 (mittleres Modell mit Core i5 Skylake CPU).

Die Leistung liegt etwas oberhalb der Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M und auch 870M, bleibt aber hinter der Desktop Radeon R7 370.

Die AMD Radeon R9 M385 ist eine Notebook-Grafikkarte der gehobenen Mittelklasse. Sie basiert auf der der GCN (Graphics Core Next)-Architektur und wird im 28- Nanometer-Prozess gefertigt. Bis jetzt ist lediglich ein GFXBench 3.1 (OpenGL) der Karte geleakt.

Die wahrscheinlich etwas langsamere Radeon R9 M380 bietet 12 Compute Units mit 1 GHz Takt und GDDR5 Grafikspeicher.
