Die Nvidia RTX A5000 Laptop GPU oder A5000 Mobile (für Laptops) ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für mobile Workstations. Sie basiert auf die Consumer GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU und bietet ebenfalls 6.144 Grafik-Kerne, 48 RT-Kerne, 192 Tensor-Kerne und 16 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher. Im Vergleich zu einer günstigeren GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU mit Studio Treibern, bietet die RTX A5000 zertifizierte Treiber für zahlreiche professionelle Applikationen.
Wie auch die GeForce RTX 3080 , ist auch die RTX A5000 in verschiedenen TGP-Versionen von 80 - 165 Watt erhältlich (maximaler Stromverbrauch). Je nach verbauter Variante unterscheiden sich die Taktraten von Chip und Speicher und damit auch deutlich die Performance.
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 80 - 90 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, WhisperMode).
Die professionellen Grafikkarten von Nvidia bieten zertifizierte Treiber , welche auf Stabiltität und Performance bei professionellen Anwendungen (CAD-, DCC-, Medizin-, Prospektions-, Visualisierungsanwendungen) optimiert sind.
Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Bei gleichem TGP sollte sie aber deutlich oberhalb einer alten Quadro RTX 5000 bzw. RTX 5000 Max-Q für Laptops liegen. Die Desktop-Variante der RTX A5000 sollte jedoch deutlich schneller ausfallen (durch den höheren TGP und höhere Taktraten). Dadurch reicht die Leistung bei den meisten anspruchsvollen Spielen auch für 4k mit maximalen Details.
Der GA104 Chip bietet 6144 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 3072 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Die Raytracing und Tensor Kerne auf dem Chip wurden laut Nvidia ebenfalls verbessert. Weiters integriert der Ampere Chip einen Hardware Video-Encoder (NVENC 5. Generation für H.264 und H.265) und Decoder (7. Generation für zahlreiche Formate inklusive AV1).
Der GA104 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).

Die AMD Radeon 740M (oder RX 740M) ist eine integrierte Grafikkarte (iGPU) für Notebooks. Sie befindet sich in den schwächeren Phoenix-U (Ryzen 7040) APUs und bietet 4 der 12 CUs (256 Shader). Sie nutzt die aktuelle RDNA 3 Architektur . Die Taktrate ist abhängig vom CPU-Modell und erreicht beim Launch bis 2,5 GHz (maximaler Boost-Takt). Die GPU hat keinen eigenen Grafikspeicher, sondern nutzt den gemeinsamen Hauptspeicher (bis zu LPDDR5 7500 MT/s oder DDR5 5600 MT/s). Die iGPU unterstützt Raytracing in Hardware, ist jedoch bei aktuellen Spielen zu langsam um dieses Feature sinnvoll nutzen zu können.
Die Leistung der GPU ist abhängig von der CPU, dem konfiguriertem TDP, der Kühlung und dem verbautem Hauptspeicher. Durch die geringere Kernanzahl, sollte die Performance aber deutlich unterhalb der Radeon 780M liegen.
Der integrierte Media-De- und Encoder unterstützt 8k60 AV1, 8k43 H.265 und 4k175 H.264.
Der Stromverbrauch ist dank modernen 4nm Prozess und ausgeklügelten Stromsparmechanismen relativ gering (laut AMD).

Die Nvidia RTX A500 Laptop GPU oder A500 Mobile (für Laptops) ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für mobile Workstations. Sie basiert wie die RTX A1000 auf die Consumer RTX 3050 , jedoch wurde der Speicherbus auf 64-Bit limitiert. Im Vergleich zu einer günstigeren GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU mit Studio Treibern, bietet die RTX A500 zertifizierte Treiber für zahlreiche professionelle Applikationen.
Wie auch die GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile , ist auch die RTX A2000 in verschiedenen TGP-Versionen erhältlich. Diese rangieren bei der A2000 von 20 - 60 Watt. Je nach verbauter Variante unterscheiden sich die Taktraten von Chip und Speicher und damit auch deutlich die Performance.
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 35+ Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, WhisperMode).
