Der AMD Ryzen 7 6800H ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Rembrandt Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3+ Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche mit 3,2 GHz (garantierter Basistakt) bis zu 4,7 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 6nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und wurde Anfang 2022 vorgestellt.
Die neuen Rembrandt APUs bieten einige Neuerungen, wie Support für USB4 mit 40 Gbps, PCI-E Gen 4, DDR5-4800MT/s bzw LPDDR5-6400MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE 5.2, DisplayPort 2 und AV1 Decode in Hardware.
Die CPU Leistung ist pro Takt vergleichbar mit den alten Ryzen 5000 APUs, dank des neuen 6nm Prozess sind die CPUs aber höher getaktet und dadurch etwas schneller. Der 6800H sollte daher zwischen Ryzen 9 5980HX und Ryzen 9 5900HX sich einordnen. Die neuen Alder Lake H-Serie CPUs sollten jedoch eine höhere Leistung bieten (z.b. i7-12800H ).
Eine besondere Neuheit ist die aktualisierte Grafikkarte namens Radeon 680M , die nun endlich auf die aktuelle RDNA2-Architektur basiert und im 6800H 12 CUs mit bis zu 2,2 GHz Takt bietet.
Der TDP ist weiterhin mit 45 Watt spezifiziert (die schnelleren X-Modelle dürfen laut AMD auch mehr Strom ziehen).
Intel Core i7-4790 ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7- 4790 ist ein High-End Quad-Core Desktop-Prozessor auf Basis der Haswell-Architektur, der im zweiten Quartal 2014 vorgestellt wurde. Im Vergleich zum Core i7-4790K taktet der i7-4790 etwas niedriger und besitzt keine freien Multiplikator.
Dank Hyperthreading können die 4 Kerne gleichzeitig bis zu 8 Threads bearbeiten. Die in 22 Nanometer gefertigte CPU taktet mit 3,6 GHz und kann per Turbo Boost Frequenzen von bis zu 4,0 GHz erreichen.
Architektur
Haswell ist der Nachfolger der 2012 vorgestellten Ivy-Bridge-Architektur und soll vor allem mit höherer Performance und verbesserter Energieeffizienz punkten. So wurde sowohl die Sprungvorhersage optimiert als auch die Zahl der Ausführungseinheiten erhöht, wodurch die Pro-MHz-Leistung etwa 5 bis 10 Prozent höher ausfällt. Neue Befehlssatzerweiterungen wie AVX2 und FMA sollen die Performance in darauf ausgelegten Anwendungen zusätzlich verbessern.
Performance
Dank minimal höherer Taktfrequenzen kann sich der i7-4790 knapp vor den i7-4770K setzen, bleibt aber knapp 10 Prozent hinter dem i7-4790K zurück. Die schnellste Notebook-CPU des Jahres 2014, der Core i7-4940MX , wird nur um wenige Prozentpunkte distanziert.
Grafikeinheit
Für die Grafikausgabe zeigt sich die im Prozessor integrierte Intel HD Graphics 4600 verantwortlich, die mit 350 - 1200 MHz taktet. Das Performanceplus gegenüber der HD Graphics 4000 liegt bei rund 30 Prozent, was die HD 4600 näher an die Grafikeinheit der schnellsten Trinity-APUs von AMD heranbringt.
Leistungsaufnahme
Mit einer TDP von 84 Watt ist der Core i7 nur für Desktop-PCs oder sehr große DTR-Notebooks geeignet.
