Der AMD Ryzen 7 5825U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Cezanne Serie. Er ist Teil des Barcelo-Refresh Anfang 2022. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche von 2 bis zu 4,5 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt. Im Vergleich zum Ryzen 7 5800U , bietet der 5825U um 100 MHz höhere Taktraten der CPU-Kerne.
Die Leistung sollte nur minimal oberhalb des Ryzen 7 5800U liegen und hinter dem neuen Ryzen 7 6800U mit bis zu 4,7 GHz und deutlich schnellerer iGPU.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 8 Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2000 MHz Takt (bzw. 1900 MHz im Geekbench Leak), einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller (DDR4-3200, LPDDR4-4266) und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default, in den meisten Notebooks aber 25 Watt). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Core i7-1280P ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. der 1280P ist der schnellste Prozessor der P-Serie mit 28 Watt und sehr ähnlich zur 45W i7-12800H .
Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 4,8 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ ). Wie auch der Core i7-12800H bietet der i7-1280P ebenfalls das volle "Enterprise"-Set von vPro .
Performance
Durch die 14 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-H35-4-Kerner (z.B. i7-11375H ) liegen und bei kurzer Last auch mit dem 45W Core i7-12800H mithalten können. Bei längerer Last sollte jedoch das TDP-Limit und wahrscheinlich auch schwächere Kühlsysteme die Leistung deutlich limitieren.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12800H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1280P ist mit 28 Watt TDP und 64 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der 1280P im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
