Der AMD Ryzen 7 4700U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 2 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) (ohne SMT/Hyperthreading = 8 Threads) welche mit bis zu 4,1 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo). Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3500U Vorgänger).
Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Ryzen 7 4800U , bietet der Ryzen 7 4700U einen 100 MHz geringeren Boost-Takt, jedoch einen höheren Basistakt. Dafür können nur 8 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet werden (kein SMT). Die Leistung sollte dadurch im Schnitt leicht unterhalb des Ryzen 7 4800U angesiedelt sein (bei gleicher Kühlung und TDP-Einstellungen). Im Cinebench R20 sollte er daher vergleichbar mit dem Intel Core i7-1065G7 sein, und Multithreaded deutlich schneller (siehe AMD Benchmarks des Ryzen 7 4800U ).
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 7 Grafikkarte mit 7 CUs und bis zu 1600 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Der TDP ist laut AMD von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Core i7-13705H ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7-13705H ist eine High-End-CPU der Raptor-Lake-H Serie (RPL-H). Im Unterschied zu RPL-HX, ist die H-Serie sehr ähnlich zu den alten Alder-Lake-Prozessoren. Die CPU bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove oder Raptor Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 20 Threads) und takten von 2,4 bis 5 GHz (Einzelkernturbo, 4,7 GHz für alle Kerne). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ ). Ähnlich zum i7-13700H jedoch ohne vPro-Support und mit anderem Package und Socket.
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktraten der Rocket-Lake-Serie, kann der i8-13705H sich auf das Niveau des alten Core i9-12900H heben und gehört damit zu einer sehr schnellen mobilen CPU, die sich für alle Anwendungsbereiche hervorragend geeignet. Die Leistung sollte identisch zum i7-13700H sein.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13705H sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,5 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Alder-Lake-H, hat Raptor-Lake-H WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt nun schnelleren DDR5-5200 Speicher. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist weiterhin in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-13705H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (PL2 115 Watt). Gefertigt wird der 13705H im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Intel Core i5-13500H ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-13500H ist eine Mittelklasse-CPU der Raptor Lake-H Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU bietet alle 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,6 bis 4,7 GHz (Einzelkern-Boost, Mehrkern maximal 4,6 GHz). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,9 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum älteren Core i5-12500H , bietet der 13500H höhere Taktraten (z.B. +200 MHz Boost der P-Kerne). Bietet eingeschränkten vPro-Support (Essentials Management Features).
Performance
Durch die höheren Taktung kann sich der i5-13500H etwas vom alten Core i5-12600H absetzen. Wie für Alder Lake üblich, ist die Leistung aber stark von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings abhängig.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 13500H sind nur 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert.
