Der AMD Ryzen 7 4700U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 2 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) (ohne SMT/Hyperthreading = 8 Threads) welche mit bis zu 4,1 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo). Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3500U Vorgänger).
Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Ryzen 7 4800U , bietet der Ryzen 7 4700U einen 100 MHz geringeren Boost-Takt, jedoch einen höheren Basistakt. Dafür können nur 8 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet werden (kein SMT). Die Leistung sollte dadurch im Schnitt leicht unterhalb des Ryzen 7 4800U angesiedelt sein (bei gleicher Kühlung und TDP-Einstellungen). Im Cinebench R20 sollte er daher vergleichbar mit dem Intel Core i7-1065G7 sein, und Multithreaded deutlich schneller (siehe AMD Benchmarks des Ryzen 7 4800U ).
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 7 Grafikkarte mit 7 CUs und bis zu 1600 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Der TDP ist laut AMD von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Xeon W-10885M ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Xeon W-10885M ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Comet-Lake-Architektur basiert (CML-H, 4. Generation der Skylake Architektur). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2,4 GHz bis 5,3 GHz. Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics P630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Professionelle Variante des Intel Core i9-10885H .
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Comet Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und auch die Fertigung ist im Vergleich zu Coffee Lake die selbe (14nm++). Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt nun DDR4-2933.
Der Intel Xeon W-10885M unterstützt die Businessfeatures vPro , TXT und SIPP.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i9-10885H am besten für große und schwere Notebooks. Optional kann er per Configurable TDP-down auf 35 Watt gedrosselt werden (mit dadurch geringerer Leistung).
