Der AMD Ryzen 7 1700X ist ein Desktop-Prozessor mit 8-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT). Anfang 2017 ist er der zweit-schnellste Ryzen 7 Prozessor und mit 95 Watt TDP deutlich höher spezifizert als der 65 Watt Ryzen 7 1700.
Der Ryzen 7 1700X taktet mit 3,4 GHz Basistakt und kann per Turbo auf bis zu 3,8 GHz takten (maximal 2 Kerne) bzw per XFR auf 3,9 GHz (ebenfalls maximal 2 Kerne). Bei Last aller 8 Kerne können maximal 3,5 GHz erreicht werden.
Die Leistung ist vor allem in Anwendungen hervorragend. Hier kann der echte 8-Kerner seine Stärken ausspielen. Die 8 Kerne sind in zwei Cluster (je 4 Kerne mit eigenem L3 Cache) unterteilt die per Infinity Fabric verbunden sind.
Bei Spielen kann der auf die Zen Architektur basierende Prozessor nicht vollends überzeugen. Fehlende Anpassungen der Spielehersteller sind laut AMD hieran schuld.

Der AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B ist die embedded Variante des Consumer Ryzen 5 2500U . Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) die von 2 - 3,6 GHz getaktet werden. Der TDP ist konfigurierbar zwischen 12 und 25 Watt (15 Watt nominell) und daher eignet sich die APU auch für schlanke und leichte Notebooks. Der L3-Cache beträgt beim 2500U 4 MB. Weiters ist eine Radeon RX Vega 8 getaufte Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs (512 Shader) integriert. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt maximal Dual-Channel DDR4-2400.
