Der AMD Ryzen 5 5600H ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z. B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Cezanne Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 3 Kerne (Hexa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4,2 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (12 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7 nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll Anfang 2021 vorgestellt werden.
Die neue Zen 3 Microarchitektur bringt im Desktop laut AMD eine um 19 % höhere IPC (Instructions per Clock) Performance. In Anwendungs-Tests bei gleichem Takt waren es meist gegen 12 %, bei Spielen noch deutlich mehr.
Der SoC integriert neben den sechs Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 7 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1800 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 35 - 54 Watt konfigurierbar (45 Watt Standard).

Der Apple M1 Pro 8-Core ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) von Apple, der im Einstiegsmodell des Apple MacBook Pro 14 und im Mac Mini verbaut wird. Es ist ein abgespeckter M1 Pro mit nur 8 der 10 CPU Kerne aktiv und auch nur 14 der 16 Grafikkerne. Der CPU-Part bietet zwei Stromspar-Kerne (E-Cores) und 6 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores). Die Taktung der Performance-Kerne rangiert von 600 bis 3220 MHz, die Effizienz-Kerne können von 600 bis 2064 MHz takten. Einen kurzen Turbo Boost oder höhere Taktraten für einzelne Kerne gibt es nicht. Neben den 24 MB L2 Cache, kann der M1 Pro auf 16 MB System Level Cache zurückgreifen.
Der Chip wird mit 16 GB LPDDR5-6400 Unified Memory ausgeliefert auf die CPU und GPU gleichzeitig zugreifen können und die mit einem schnellen 256 Bit Speicherbus (max. 200 GB/s) angebunden werden.
Weiters bietet der Chip eine 16-Kern-Neural-Engine für AI-Beschleunigung, die Secure Enclave, Unified Memory Architecture, ISP und Media De- und Encoder.
Der TDP des Chips wird nicht angegeben, die Package Power kann aber bis zu 46W betragen (CPU und GPU gemeinsam). Der Prozessor-Teil alleine kann sich ca 21,5 Watt genehmigen.
Der Chip wird im modernen 5nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll sehr energieffizient sein.

Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll Anfang 2021 vorgestellt werden. Das X im Namen bezeichnet die Übertaktungsmöglichkeiten der CPU.

In unseren Tests zeigt sich der Ryzen 9 5900HX als einer der schnellsten Mobilprozessoren und auf einem Niveau mit dem Intel 11980HK. Wie stark die Performance ist, hängt aber auch von der Konfiguration im Notebook (TDP) und der Kühlung ab. Besonders bei längeren Lasten wie bei unserem Blender-Benchmark ist dies entscheidend.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 8 Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2000 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4200 Speicherkontroller und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 35 - 54 Watt konfigurierbar (45 Watt Default). Dank Zen 3 Microarchitektur und 7nm Prozess ist der Prozessor in unseren Tests unter Last sehr effizient.
