Der AMD Ryzen 5 5600H ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z. B. Gaming Laptops) basierend auf die Cezanne Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 3 Kerne (Hexa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4,2 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (12 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7 nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll Anfang 2021 vorgestellt werden.
Die neue Zen 3 Microarchitektur bringt im Desktop laut AMD eine um 19 % höhere IPC (Instructions per Clock) Performance. In Anwendungs-Tests bei gleichem Takt waren es meist gegen 12 %, bei Spielen noch deutlich mehr.
Der SoC integriert neben den sechs Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 7 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1800 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 35 - 54 Watt konfigurierbar (45 Watt Standard).

Der Apple M1 Max ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) von Apple, der in den High-End-Varianten des Apple MacBook Pro 14 und 16 aus 2021 verbaut wird. Der Chip integriert wie der M1 Pro 10 CPU Kerne von denen zwei Stromspar-Kerne sind (E-Cores) und 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores). Die Taktung der Performance-Kerne rangiert von 600 bis 3220 MHz, die Effizienz-Kerne können von 600 bis 2064 MHz takten. Der Chip wird mit 32 oder 64 GB LPDDR5-6400 Unified Memory ausgeliefert auf die CPU und GPU gleichzeitig zugreifen können und die mit einem schnellen 512 Bit Speicherbus (max. 400 GB/s) angebunden werden. Hier unterscheidet sich der M1 Max auch vom M1 Pro.
Die integrierte Grafikkarte bietet 32 GPU-Kerne (die kleine Version aktiviert nur 24 Kerne).
Weiters bietet der Chip eine 16-Kern-Neural-Engine für AI-Beschleunigung, die Secure Enclave, Unified Memory Architecture, ISP und Media De- und Encoder. Der M1 Max bietet im Vergleich zum M1 Pro zwei weitere ProRes Beschleuniger im Chip.
Der TDP des Chips wird nicht angegeben, die Package Power kann aber bis zu 86W betragen (CPU und GPU gemeinsam). Der Prozessor-Teil alleine kann sich ca 29 Watt genehmigen und damit 7,5 Watt mehr als beim M1 Pro mit weniger RAM.
