AMD Ryzen 5 4600H vs Intel Core i7-12650H
AMD Ryzen 5 4600H ► remove from comparison
Der AMD Ryzen 5 4600H ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming-Laptops) basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 2 Kerne (Hexa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (12 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3550H Vorgänger).
Durch die zwei deaktivierten Kerne und dem geringeren Turbo-Takt, sollte der Ryzen 5 4600H deutlich hinter dem Ryzen 7 4800H zurückbleiben. Das alte Spitzenmodell Ryzen 7 3750H sollte aber deutlich abgehängt werden. Verglichen mit Intel Prozessoren, gehen wir mit einer ähnlichen Performance wie der Core i7-8850H (6-Kerne, 2,6 - 4,3 GHz) aus.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 6 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1500 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Der TDP ist laut AMD von 35 - 54 Watt konfigurierbar (45 Watt Default). Daher ist der Chip für große und schwere Notebooks vorgesehen und benötigt, trotz des effizienten 7nm Herstellungsprozesses, eine gute Kühlung um die Leistung auch dauerhaft zu erbringen.
Intel Core i7-12650H ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7-12650H ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,3 bis 4,7 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,7 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6700HQ ). Im Vergleich zum 12700H bietet der 12650H nur halb so viele E-Kerne und eine schwächere iGPU. Auch vPro wird gar nicht unterstützt.
Performance
Durch die 10 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-8-Kerner (bei vergleichbaren Takt, wie der i7-11800H mit bis zu 4,8 GHz) liegen. Bei der Einzelkernperformance dürfte der 12650H auch noch schneller sein, dank der neuen Architektur.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12650H sind nur 64 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-12650H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (115W PL2). Bei geringer Last, sollte der Stromverbrauch dank der sparsamen Gracemont Kerne sehr gut sein. Gefertigt wird der i7-12650H im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
