AMD Ryzen 5 4500U ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 5 4500U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 2 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) (ohne SMT/Hyperthreading = 6 Threads) welche mit bis zu 4 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo). Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3500U Vorgänger).
Im Vergleich zum minimal schnelleren Ryzen 5 4600U, bietet der 4500U kein SMT / Hyperthreading aber einen höheren Basistakt. Dadurch sollte die Prozessor-Performance sehr ähnlich ausfallen.
Der SoC integriert neben den sechs Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 6 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1500 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Der TDP ist laut AMD von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Core i9-9980HK ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core i9-9980HK ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basiert (Refresh in 2019, CFL-HR). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2,4 - 5 GHz (Ein- und Zweikern Turbo) bzw. maximal 4,2 GHz wenn alle Kerne ausgelastet sind. Die 5 GHz können nur per "Thermal Velocity Boost" kurzzeitig erreicht werden (CPU Temperatur unter 50°C). Unter den 50°C kann ein Kern um 100 MHz geboostet werden, mehrere um 100 MHz. Als "K"-Modell bietet der 9980HK einen offenen Multiplikator und kann dadurch relativ einfach übertaktet werden.
Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert. Dank freiem Multiplikator ist ein Übertakten der CPU möglich. Der Core i9 ist das Topmodell der Coffee Lake-H Notebook-Modelle und damit schnellste Notebook-CPU in 2018.
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Coffee Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und Coffee Lake kann nur durch die leicht verbesserte Fertigung (14nm++) und die zusätzlichen Kerne punkten. Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i9-9980HK am besten für große und schwere Notebooks.
