Der AMD Ryzen 5 4500U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 2 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) (ohne SMT/Hyperthreading = 6 Threads) welche mit bis zu 4 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo). Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3500U Vorgänger).
Im Vergleich zum minimal schnelleren Ryzen 5 4600U, bietet der 4500U kein SMT / Hyperthreading aber einen höheren Basistakt. Dadurch sollte die Prozessor-Performance sehr ähnlich ausfallen.
Der SoC integriert neben den sechs Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 6 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1500 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Der TDP ist laut AMD von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
Intel Core i5-1035G4 ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-1035G4 ist ein sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC für Notebooks und Ultrabooks, der auf der Ice-Lake-Architektur basiert und im Q3 2019 wahrscheinlich auf den Markt kommt. Ice Lake wird im modernen 10nm Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt und nutzt die neue Sunnycove Microarchitektur für die CPU-Kerne. Damit sollte die CPU-Leistung trotz geringerer Taktraten mit dem alten Core i5-8365U (Whiskey-Lake, 4 Kerne, max 4,1 GHz) mithalten können. Intel spricht von durchschnittlich 18% höherer IPC Leistung die die Taktunterschiede gut machen sollen. Nach aktuellen Informationen taktet die CPU mit nur 1.1 GHz Basistakt (garantiert) und kann auf bis zu 3,7 GHz mit einem Kern per Turbo hochtakten. 2 Kerne erreichen maximale 3,6 GHz und alle 4 maximal 3,3 GHz per Turbo.
Neu ist die deutlich schnellere Gen 11 basierende Grafikeinheit Iris Plus Graphics G4 . Im Core i5-1035G4 ist die mittlere "G4" Variante verbaut, welche 48 der 64 Shader-Cluster bei 300-1050 MHz bietet.
Weiters integriert Intel nun eine AI Beschleunigung im Chip und Wifi 6 und Thunderbolt 3 sind teilintegriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks. Der integrierte DDR4 Speicherkontroller unterstützt Module mit bis zu 3200 MHz.
Leistungsaufnahme
Die Fertigung erfolgt im modernen 10nm Verfahren und soll mit TSMC's 7nm Verfahren mithalten können. Der TDP kann vom Notebookhersteller weiterhin zwischen 7,5 - 25 Watt konfiguriert werden, mit dementsprechend abweichender Leistung (besonders bei längerer Last).

Der AMD Ryzen 7 4700U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Im Vergleich zum schnelleren Ryzen 7 4800U , bietet der Ryzen 7 4700U einen 100 MHz geringeren Boost-Takt, jedoch einen höheren Basistakt. Dafür können nur 8 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet werden (kein SMT). Die Leistung sollte dadurch im Schnitt leicht unterhalb des Ryzen 7 4800U angesiedelt sein (bei gleicher Kühlung und TDP-Einstellungen). Im Cinebench R20 sollte er daher vergleichbar mit dem Intel Core i7-1065G7 sein, und Multithreaded deutlich schneller (siehe AMD Benchmarks des Ryzen 7 4800U ).
