AMD Ryzen 5 3550H ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 5 3550H ist ein Mobilprozessor für größere Notebooks (z.B. Gaming-Laptops). Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen+ Kerne (Quad-Core CPU). Der Ryzen 5 3550H ist identisch zum Ryzen 5 3500U, bietet jedoch einen höheren TDP von 35 versus 15 Watt und dadurch eine bessere Dauerleistung.
Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger Ryzen 7 2500U wurde der Herstellungsprozess leicht verbessert (14 auf 12nm) welcher höhere Taktraten bei gleichem Stromverbrauch erlaubt. Weiters wurden minimale Verbesserungen bei der Microarchitektur vorgenommen (etwa 3% höhere IPC, Leistung pro Takt). Dadurch soll die neue Generation 8% schneller sein als die Vorgängermodelle (laut AMD).
Die integrierte Radeon RX Vega 8 bietet 8 CUs (512 Shader) mit bis zu 1200 MHz.
Die Features bleiben bei den neuen APUs der Picasso Serie vergleichbar zur Vorgängergeneration, wodurch wir auf unseren Raven Ridge APU Artikel verweisen können.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800U ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 7 5800U ist ein Mobilprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks basierend auf die Cezanne Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche von 1,9 bis zu 4,4 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll Anfang 2021 vorgestellt werden.
Die neue Zen 3 Microarchitektur bringt im Desktop laut AMD eine um 19% höhere IPC (Instructions per Clock) Performance. In Anwendungs-Tests bei gleichem Takt waren es meist gegen 12%, bei Spielen noch deutlich mehr.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 8 Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2000 MHz Takt (bzw. 1900 MHz im Geekbench Leak), einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller (DDR4-3200, LPDDR4-4266) und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist weiterhin von 10 - 25 Watt konfigurierbar (15 Watt Default, in den meisten Notebooks aber 25 Watt). Daher ist der Chip auch für kleine und leichte Notebooks geeignet.
