Der AMD Ryzen 5 3500U ist ein Mobilprozessor für schlanke Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen+ Kerne (Quad-Core CPU). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger Ryzen 5 2500U wurde der Herstellungsprozess leicht verbessert (14 auf 12nm) welcher höhere Taktraten bei gleichem Stromverbrauch erlaubt. Weiters wurden minimale Verbesserungen bei der Microarchitektur vorgenommen (etwa 3% höhere IPC, Leistung pro Takt). Dadurch soll die neue Generation 8% schneller sein als die Vorgängermodelle (laut AMD).
In Chromebooks wird die APU AMD Ryzen 5 3500C genannt, ohne Unterschiede zu der U-Variante.
Die integrierte Radeon RX Vega 8 bietet 8 CUs (512 Shader) mit bis zu 1200 MHz.
Die Features bleiben bei den neuen APUs der Picasso Serie vergleichbar zur Vorgängergeneration, wodurch wir auf unseren Raven Ridge APU Artikel verweisen können.

Der AMD Ryzen 5 5600X ist ein Desktop-Prozessor mit 6-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT). Somit kann der Prozessor insgesamt 12 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeiten. Mit dem Launch im November 2020 ist er der schnellste Ryzen Desktop-Prozessor mit 6 Kernen. Mit einer TDP von 65 Watt ist der Ryzen 5 5600X bislang das sparsamste Modell der neuen Zen-3-Familie.
Der Ryzen 5 5600X taktet mit 3,7 GHz Basistakt und kann per Precision-Boost 2 auf bis zu 4,6 GHz takten.
