Die Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für Workstations. Die Grafikkarte ist mit dem AD102-Grafikchip ausgestattet, welcher im Vollausbau 18.176 Shadereinheiten vereint. Auch die Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 ist mit dem AD102 bestückt. Dieser bietet unterdessen nur 16.384 Shadereinheiten. Weiterhin gibt es bei der Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation 128 RT-Kerne, 512 Tensor-Kerne und 48 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit Fehlererkennung (ECC).
Performance
Die Leistung der Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation fällt im Vergleich zur Nvidia GeForce RTX A6000 deutich besser aus. Die Leistungsunterschiede zwischen der Ampere-Genration und der aktuellen Ada Lovelace-Generation zeichneten sich schon im Consumer-Bereich ab. Demzufolge kann auch das aktuelle Topmodell der Workstation-Grafikkarten mit einer enorm hohen Leistung punkten. Aufgrund von zertifizierten Treibern, welche im Zusammenspiel mit professionellen Anwendungen ihr volles Potenzial entfalten, kann sogar eine Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 übertroffen werden.
Verglichen mit herkömmlichen Anwendungen, welche nicht auf die Leistung speziell angepassten Treiber zurückgreifen können, ist die Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation der Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 deutlich unterlegen. Die deutlich geringere Leistungsaufnahme im Vergleich zum Consumer-Flaggschiff sorgt hier für den Unterschied.
Die Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation benötigt unter Last maximal 300 Watt. Zudem ist die Grafikkarte auf den stabilen Dauerbetrieb unter Vollast ausgelegt. Das wird auch durch den enorm großen VRAM mit 48 GB untermauert.
