Die NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf die Consumer RTX 4080 Laptop GPU mit ebenfalls 7.424 CUDA Kernen, 58 Raytracing Kernen und 232 Tensor Kernen der 4. Generation. Beim Grafikspeicher setzt die RTX 4000 ebenfalls auf 12 GB mit einem 192-Bit Bus, jedoch unterstützt der Speicher ECC-Fehlerkorrektur (optional, reduziert die nutzbare Größe). Die Taktraten sind bei den professionellen RTX-Modellen immer etwas geringer, wodurch auch die Gaming-Performance sich hinter der RTX 4080 Mobile einreiht. Wie auch bei der RTX 4080 ist dieser jedoch abhängig vom TDP der vom Notebook zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Die RTX 4000 kann laut Nvidia von 60 bis 175 Watt (wahrscheinlich inklusive 25W Dynamic Boost wie bei der RTX 4080M) konfiguriert werden mit dementsprechend großen Performanceunterschieden.
Trotz des ähnlichen Namens, ist die GPU nicht mit der älteren NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 (Turing) vergleichbar.
Der eingesetzte AD104 Chip wird bei TSMC im 4N Prozess (5nm) gefertigt.

Die Nvidia Quadro T2000 für Laptops ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für Notebooks und mobile Workstations der Mittelklasse. Sie basiert auf den selben TU117 Turing-Chip wie die Consumer GTX 1650 Ti (Desktop) mit 1024 Shadern und vergleichbaren Taktraten. Weiters stehen 64 Texture Mapping Units und 32 ROPs zur Verfügung. Die bis zu 4 GB GDDR5 Grafikspeicher werden mit 2000 MHz getaktet und per 128 Bit Grafikbus angebunden. Bei den maximalen 60 Watt TGP taktet die GPU mit 1575 (Base) bis 1785 MHz (Boost).
Die Quadro-Grafikkarten bieten zertifizierte Treiber , welche auf Stabiltität und Performance bei professionellen Anwendungen (CAD-, DCC-, Medizin-, Prospektions-, Visualisierungsanwendungen) optimiert sind. Dadurch ist die Performance im Vergleich zu den Consumergrafikkarten mit gleichem Chip in diesen Bereichen deutlich besser.
Die kleineren Chips der Turing Serie bietet im Unterschied zu den stärkeren RTX Karten (z.B. Quadro RTX 3000 ) keine Raytracing und Tensor Kerne. Bei der Turing Architektur gab es auch auf der Ebene der CUDA-Kerne deutliche Verbesserungen. Float und INT Operationen können nun gleichzeitig ausgeführt werden, der Cache wurde vereinheitlicht und verbessert und Adaptive Shading eingeführt. Nvidia spricht dadurch von einer bis zu 50% höheren Leistung pro Kern im Vergleich zu Pascal.

Die Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 für Laptops ist eine professionelle Grafikkarte für große und schwere Notebooks. Sie basiert wie die Consumer GeForce RTX 2080 auf den TU104 Chip, bietet jedoch mit 3072 Shader 128 mehr als diese. Im Vergleich zur Desktop RTX 5000, wird die mobile deutlich geringer getaktet. Weiters gibt es verschiedene Versionen mit unterschiedlichen Taktraten und TDPs. Neben den deutlich niedriger getakteten Max-Q Varianten, ist die normale Max-P in 110 W (1035 - 1545 MHz) und 150 W (1350 - 1770 MHz) verfügbar.

Features
Der TU104-Chip wird in 12nm gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, wie DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) und Real Time Ray Tracing. Dadurch lassen sich vor allem Beleuchtungseffekte sehr viel realistischer darstellen. Weiterhin gibt es Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0).
Performance
Je nach Anwendung sollte die Performance der Quadro RTX 5000 knapp oberhalb einer GeForce RTX 2080 liegen. Durch den größeren VRAM und die optimierten Treiber, gibt es bei professionellen Applikationen auch teilweise größere Geschwindigkeitsvorteile. Dadurch sollte die RTX 5000 aktuell die schnellste Notebookgrafikkarte sein (Mitte 2019).
Durch den hohen Stromverbrauch, eignet sich die Quadro RTX5000 nur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die langsamere Max-Q Version ist für dünnere Notebooks gedacht.
