NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison Die NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (Codename GN21-X2) ist eine Mittelklasse-Notebookgrafikkarte die Anfang 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Sie basiert nach ersten Gerüchten auf den AD107 Chip (Ada Lovelace Architektur) und bietet einen 96 Bit Speicherbus mit 6 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher und einer Taktung von effektiv 16 Gbps. Der TGP (Stromverbrauch kann von 35 bis 115 Watt rangieren plus zusätzlich etwa 10-25 Watt Dynamic Boost (von der CPU). Der Boost Takt rangiert von 1605 MHz (bei 35 Watt) bis zu 2370 MHz (115 Watt). Dadurch ist auch die Performance stark vom TDP abhängig.
Nach unseren Benchmarks mit einigen Notebooks positioniert sich die mobile RTX 4050 zwischen RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU und RTX 3060 Laptop GPU . Daher eignet sich die GPU am besten für 1920x1080 Gaming bei hohen bis maximalen Detailsettings (je nach Spiel, siehe unten).
Die RTX 4050 bietet 80 Tensor-Kerne für DLSS 3 inklusive Frame Generation wodurch unterstütze Spiele einen deutlichen Geschwindigkeits-Boost erfahren können (bei minimalem Qualitätsverlust). Die 20 Raytracing-Kerne werden jedoch wenig genutzt werden können, da die RTX 4050 zu wenig Leistung bietet um sinnvoll Raytracing-Effekte aktivieren zu können.
Der AD107 Chip wird im 5nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt (4N).
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 SLI (Desktop) ► remove from comparison Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 SLI (Desktop) bezeichnet einen SLI-Verbund aus zwei High-End GeForce GTX 1070 Grafikkarten für Desktops . Die GPUs nutzen denselben GP104-Chip mit 1.920 CUDA-Kernen wie das Desktop-Modell. Beide Karten rendern jeweils abwechselnd ein Bild (AFR), wodurch sich die Leistung gegenüber einer einzelnen GPU im Optimalfall fast verdoppelt. Der je 8 GB große Grafikspeicher verdoppelt sich durch den Einsatz beider Karten nicht, da jeweils die selben Daten gespeichert werden.
Features
Der GP104-Chip wird in einem 16nm-FinFET-Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, unter anderem Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie verbessertes H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0). Performance
Die Performance der GTX 1070 SLI ist stark abhängig vom Treibersupport und den Spielen. Im Optimalfall wird die Performance einer einzelnen GTX 1070, wie schon bei den Vorgängern, fast verdoppelt, in anderen Fällen kann der Verbund auch deutlich schlechter oder gar nicht skalieren. Des Weiteren können mehr oder weniger ausgeprägte Mikroruckler die gefühlte Performance beeinträchtigen. Dennoch lassen sich die meisten Spiele des Jahres 2016 in maximalen Einstellungen und 4K-Auflösung flüssig darstellen.
Leistungsaufnahme
Im SLI-Verbund verdoppelt sich der Stromverbrauch gegenüber einer einzelnen GTX 1070, sodass beide Karten zusammen vermutlich etwa 300 Watt aufnehmen dürften.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison Die NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU (Codename GN21-X9) ist eine High-End-Notebookgrafikkarte die Anfang 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Sie basiert nach ersten Gerüchten auf den selben AD104 Chip (Ada Lovelace Architektur) wie die Desktop RTX 4070 Ti und bietet daher maximal 7.680 Shader und einen 192 Bit Speicherbus mit 12 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher und einer Taktung von effektiv 16 oder 20 Gbps. Der TGP (Stromverbrauch kann von 60 bis 150 Watt rangieren (im Vergleich zu den 285 Watt der Desktop RTX 4070 Ti) plus zusätzlich etwa 15 Watt Dynamic Boost (von der CPU). Die Leistung sollte dementsprechend unterhalb einer Desktop RTX 4070 Ti liegen, aber die alte RTX 3080 Laptop GPU deutlich schlagen.
Die Taktung der GPU ist abhängig vom verwendeten TGP und dadurch Laptop und rangiert von 1350 (Boost bei 60 Watt) bis zu 2280 (150 Watt). Dadurch ist die Geschwindigkeit der mobilen RTX4080 auch stark abhängig vom Notebook (TDP Setting und Kühlung).
In synthetischen Benchmarks kann die durchschnittliche RTX 4080 Laptop GPU in unseren Tests die alte RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU deutlich abhängen und bleibt nur hinter der RTX 4090 zurück. Dadurch sind auch anspruchsvolle Spiele wie F1 23 mit Raytracing in QHD flüssig spielbar. Ohne Raytracing und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele, können auch in 4k genossen werden.
Die RTX 4080 bietet 232 Tensor-Kerne der 4. Generation die für DLSS 3 inklusive Frame Generation genutzt werden können. Weiters sind noch 58 Raytracing Kerne der 3. Generation verbaut.
Der AD104 Chip wird im 5nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt (4N) und beinhaltet 35.800 Millionen Transistoren bei einer Die-Größe von 379 mm2.
