Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 is zum Launch die schnellste GeForce Grafikkarte der Ampere-Generation und Quasi-Nachfolger der Titan RTX. Sie nutzt den großen GA102-Chip mit 10.496 Shader und 24 GB GDDR6X Grafikspeicher. Im Vergleich zur RTX 3080 ist die Mehrleistung erst ab Auflösungen höher 4K spürbar, für echtes 8K-Gaming mit hohen Details reicht die Rohleistung aber nicht aus. Mit einer Leistungsaufnahme von 350 Watt braucht die GPU zwar sehr viel Strom unter Last, die Energieeffizienz ist jedoch trotzdem sehr gut (Leistung pro Watt).

Die AMD Radeon RX 560X Notebook ist eine Laptop-Grafikkarte basierend auf den Polaris-11/21-Chip. Technisch ist es eine umbenannte Radeon RX 560 mit leicht geänderten Taktraten aber vergleichbarer Performance. Sie basiert auf den Polaris 11 oder 21 Chip (je nach Laptop beides möglich) mit 1024 Shader-Kernen. Die Features der Polaris Architektur können Sie hier nachlesen.

Die Radeon RX 560X wird von AMD an Laptophersteller derzeit mit 4 GB 128 Bit GDDR5 beworben mit einem TDP von 60-80 Watt für 50 - 60 Dollar.

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is zum Launch die zweit-schnellste GeForce Grafikkarte der Ampere-Generation. Sie basiert auf den selben GA102 Ampere Chip wie die teure RTX 3090, bietet aber deutlich weniger VRAM (12 vs 24 GB) und minimal weniger Shader (10.240 vs 10.496).

Im Vergleich zur RTX 3080 ist die Mehrleistung erst ab Auflösungen höher 4K spürbar, für echtes 8K-Gaming mit hohen Details reicht die Rohleistung aber nicht aus. Mit einer Leistungsaufnahme von 350 Watt braucht die GPU sehr viel Strom unter Last.
