Der Intel Processor N95 (fälschlich auch Celeron N95) ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Er wurde im Januar 2023 vorgestellt und bietet 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur) mit bis zu 3,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne unterstützen kein HyperThreading und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Ähnlich zum Processor N100 , jedoch mit höherem TDP und dadurch bei längerer Last wahrscheinlich leicht schneller.
Performance
Die Performance des N95 ist durch die Halbierung der Kerne deutlich schwächer als beim i3-N305 und etwas unterhalb des N200 (durch die geringere Taktraten). Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N eingeschränkt.
Grafikeinheit
Alder Lake-N integriert eine Xe basierende Grafikeinheit mit bis zu 32 EUs (Execution Units). Davon sind im N95 nur 16 aktiviert und takten mit 1200 MHz relativ gering. Durch die geringe Kernanzahl, Taktung und die Einschränkung auf Single-Channel-RAM, ist die Spieleleistung aber deutlich eingeschränkt.
Features
Der kleine Alder-Lake-N-Chip integriert teilweise Wi-Fi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 (im PCH). Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Single-Channel DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800 und LPDDR5-4800. Die Media Engine Quick Sync kann nun auch AV1 dekodieren (wie bei Alder Lake). Für die externe Anbindung von Peripherie unterstützt der PCH PCIe Gen3 x9.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der N95 ist mit 12Watt (PL1) TDP spezifiziert und eignet sich daher für dünne und leichte Systeme. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Intel Core i5-1235U ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-1235U ist eine Mid-Range Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-M Chip (für die U-Serie) und bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 1,3 bis 4,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 0,9 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum ähnlichen Core i5-1245U , bietet der 1235 geringere Basistaktraten und nur "Essentials" vPro Features.
Performance
Durch die 10 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 15 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i7-1160G7 ). Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i5 dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich hoch getaktete Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1235U sind 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,2 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i5-1235U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
