Intel Processor N100 ► remove from comparison Der Intel Processor N100 ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Er wurde im Januar 2023 vorgestellt und bietet 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur) mit 1 GHz bis zu 3,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne unterstützen kein HyperThreading und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ).
Performance
Die Performance des N100 ist durch die Halbierung der Kerne deutlich schwächer als beim i3-N305 und etewas unterhalb des N200 (durch die geringere Taktraten). Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N eingeschränkt.
Grafikeinheit
Alder Lake-N integriert eine Xe basierende Grafikeinheit mit bis zu 32 EUs (Execution Units). Davon sind im N100 nur 24 aktiviert und takten von 450 - 750 MHz relativ gering. Durch die geringe Kernanzahl, Taktung und die Einschränkung auf Single-Channel-RAM, ist die Spieleleistung aber deutlich eingeschränkt.
Features
Der kleine Alder-Lake-N-Chip integriert teilweise Wi-Fi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 (im PCH). Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Single-Channel DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800 und LPDDR5-4800. Die Media Engine Quick Sync kann nun auch AV1 dekodieren (wie bei Alder Lake). Für die externe Anbindung von Peripherie unterstützt der PCH PCIe Gen3 x9.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der N100 ist nur mit 6 Watt (PL1) TDP spezifiziert und eignet sich daher auch für lüfterlose Systeme. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
AMD Ryzen 7 3700U ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 7 3700U ist ein Mobilprozessor für schlanke Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen+ Kerne (Quad-Core CPU). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger Ryzen 7 2700U wurde der Herstellungsprozess leicht verbessert (14 auf 12nm) welcher höhere Taktraten bei gleichem Stromverbrauch erlaubt. Weiters wurden minimale Verbesserungen bei der Mikroarchitektur vorgenommen (etwa 3% höhere IPC, Leistung pro Takt). Dadurch soll die neue Generation 8% schneller sein als die Vorgängermodelle (laut AMD). In Chromebooks wird die APU AMD Ryzen 7 3700C genannt, ohne Unterschiede zu der U-Variante.
Die Performance ist stark abhängig von der TDP-Konfiguration im Notebook und der vorhandenen Kühlung. Dies sieht man gut, da in unseren Tests ein durchschnittlicher 3700U nur die Leistung eines langsameren Ryzen 5 2500U (in unserem Performance Rating) erreicht. Im ThinkPad E595 ist die Leistung z.B. deutlich besser und viel weniger abfallend als im HP Envy x360. Verglichen mit Intel, ist die CPU-Performance auf einem Level mit einem durchschnittlichen Core i5-8250U und damit auch für anspruchsvollere Arbeiten ausreichen.
Die integrierte Radeon RX Vega 10 bietet 10 CUs (640 Shader) mit bis zu 1400 MHz.
