Der Intel Processor N100 ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Er wurde im Januar 2023 vorgestellt und bietet 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur) mit 1 GHz bis zu 3,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne unterstützen kein HyperThreading und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ).
Performance
Die Performance des N100 ist durch die Halbierung der Kerne deutlich schwächer als beim i3-N305 und etewas unterhalb des N200 (durch die geringere Taktraten). Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N eingeschränkt.
Grafikeinheit
Alder Lake-N integriert eine Xe basierende Grafikeinheit mit bis zu 32 EUs (Execution Units). Davon sind im N100 nur 24 aktiviert und takten von 450 - 750 MHz relativ gering. Durch die geringe Kernanzahl, Taktung und die Einschränkung auf Single-Channel-RAM, ist die Spieleleistung aber deutlich eingeschränkt.
Features
Der kleine Alder-Lake-N-Chip integriert teilweise Wi-Fi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 (im PCH). Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Single-Channel DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800 und LPDDR5-4800. Die Media Engine Quick Sync kann nun auch AV1 dekodieren (wie bei Alder Lake). Für die externe Anbindung von Peripherie unterstützt der PCH PCIe Gen3 x9.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der N100 ist nur mit 6 Watt (PL1) TDP spezifiziert und eignet sich daher auch für lüfterlose Systeme. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Intel Celeron N5095 ► remove from comparison
Der I ntel Celeron N5095 (Device ID 0x4E55) ist ein Anfang 2021 vorgestellter Quad-Core-SoC, der hauptsächlich in preiswerten und kleinen Desktops verbaut wird. Er taktet mit 2 bis 2,9 GHz (Einzelkern Burst) und gehört der Jasper-Lake-Plattform an. Die Fertigung erfolgt im 10nm Prozess bei Intel (wahrscheinlich wie Ice Lake). Neben den vier CPU-Kernen integriert der Chip auch eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit mit 16 EUs und einem Takt von bis zu 750 MHz, sowie einen LPDDR4(x)-Speichercontroller (Dual-Channel, 2.933 MHz, 16 GB max.). Der SoC kann nicht ausgetauscht werden, da er direkt mit dem Mainboard verlötet wird (BGA Package).
Im Vergleich zum ähnlichen Celeron N5105 , ist der N5095 mit einem höheren TDP von 15 (versus 10) Watt spezifiziert und integriert eine schwächere GPU (16 statt 24 EUs und 50 MHz weniger Takt).
Weiterhin integriert der Chip teilweise WLAN und kann kostengünstig mit Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) ausgestattet werden. 8 PCIe Gen3 Lanes werden vom SoC nach aussen geführt und 14 USB 2.0/3.2 und 2 SATA 6.0 Anschlüsse können verbaut werden. Das Package des SoCs misst 35 x 24 mm und ist damit deutlich größer als beim Vorgänger (25 x 24 mm).
Architektur
Die Prozessor-Architektur der Jasper Lake SoCs wurde im Vergleich zum Vorgänger deutlich weiterentwickelt. Im Schnitt soll sich die Einzelkernperformance im Vergleich zu Goldmont Plus um 30% erhöhen (10 - 80% bei den SPECint und SPECfp Benchmarks).
Performance
Durch den höheren TDP könnte der N5095 bei ausreichender Kühlung und längeren Lasten etwas schneller sein als der Celeron N5105 . Beide sollten den alten Pentium N5030 schlagen, aber noch hinter den Tiger Lake Quad-Core CPUs zurückliegen. Der N5095 bewältigt jedoch problemlos die meisten Alltagsanwendungen (Office, Browsing) und ist auch für moderates Multitasking geeignet.
Grafik
Die integrierte UHD Graphics Grafikeinheit bietet nur 16 EUs (Gen. 11 Grafikkerne wie Ice Lake) welche mit 450 - 750 MHz getaktet werden. Es werden bis zu 3 Bildschirme mit 4k60 Auflösung unterstützt
Leistungsaufnahme
Der gesamte SoC wird von Intel mit 15 Watt spezifiziert (mobiler N5100 6 Watt und geringere Taktraten). Damit wird der Chip wohl meistens mit einem aktiven Lüfter gekühlt.
