Die Intel HD Graphics 2000 (oder Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD 2000 oder GMA HD 2000) ist eine in den Sandy Bridge Prozessoren integrierte Grafikkarte. Sie komm in den meisten Desktop CPU zum Einsatz und heisst in den günstigen mobilen Prozessoren (Celeron und Pentium) nur Intel HD Graphics . Die HD Graphics 2000 bietet keinen eigenen dedizierten Speicher, teilt sich jedoch den sehr schnellen Level 3 Cache mit den Prozessorkernen. Der restliche Speicher wird vom Hauptspeicher abgezwackt (wie bei der Vorgänger-Grafikkarte Intel HD Graphics ). Dank Turbo Boost kann sich die Grafikkarte wie die Prozessorkerne in gewissen Lastsituationen übertakten (bei ausreichend Kühlung). Die Intel GMA HD2000 bietet nur die Hälfte der 12 Execution Units (EUs) der GMA HD 3000 und ist dadurch deutlich langsamer.
Je nach Prozessor weist die HD Graphics 2000 eine unterschiedliche Basis- und Turbo-Taktrate auf. Im Desktop Einsteigs Core i3-2100 z.B. 850 bzw 1100 MHz. Im schnellen i7-2600 850 bzw. 1350MHz. Die mobilen Ableger werden wahrscheinlich deutlich geringer getaktet sein.
Unsere Performance Tests haben wir mit einem i5-2400 Desktop Prozessor durchgeführt. Dieser taktet die Grafikkarte mit 850MHz bzw 1100MHz (Turbo Boost). In den Spieletests plazierte sich die HD Graphics 2000 etwa auf dem Niveau einer Geforce G 105M und damit leicht oberhalb der alten Intel HD Graphics Grafikkarte. Damit sind anspruchslose Spiele wie Sims 3 oder World of Warcraft in niedrigen Details flüssig spielbar (mit einer ausreichend starken CPU).
Wie bei den Ivy Bridge basierten Grafikkarten, wird anscheinend auch bei Sandy Bridge 2x Antialiasing per Software aus dem 4x Antialiasing errechnet. Daher ergibt sich kein Geschwindigkeitsunterschied zwischen 2x und 4x AA. Im Unigine Valley Benchmark erreichten wir als Bestätigung bei 2x AA und 4x AA das selbe Ergebnis (HD Graphics 3000 ULV im i7-2637M).
Neben der GPU ist auch noch eine dedizierte Einheit zum Dekodieren und auch Encodieren von HD Videos in den Sandy Bridge Prozessoren enthalten. Um ein dreiminütiges 1080p-Video für das iPhone in das Format 640x360 zu wandeln, braucht Sandy Bridge laut Intel etwa 14s (IDF 2010). Eine weitere Besonderheit ist der unterstützte "embedded DisplayPort" eDP um interne Displays anzusteuern.
Aufgrund der Integration in den mit 32nm gefertigten Prozessor und die halbierte Shaderzahl, ist der Stromverbrauch relativ gering und eignet sich auch für flache und kleine Notebooks.
AMD Radeon R5 (Stoney Ridge) ► remove from comparison
Die AMD Radeon R5 (Stoney Ridge) ist eine integrierte Grafikeinheit der schwächeren mobilen Dual-Core Stoney-Ridge-APUs. Sie kommt zum Launch im AMD A9-9410 zum Einsatz und bietet 3 aktive Compute Cores (384 Shader). Je nach Modell beträgt die maximale Taktung 800 MHz. Je nach konfigurierter TDP und eingesetztem Hauptspeicher kann die Leistung deutlich variieren. Im Vergleich zur Radeon R5 der Bristol Ridge Serie , bietet sie nur 3 statt der 6 GCN Kerne (und ist die Vollaustattung der Stoney Ridge Chips).
Architektur und Features
Die Radeon R5 bietet drei Kerne der dritten GCN Generation (in der Presse oft als GCN 1.2 oder 2.0 bezeichnet). Damit ist sie sehr ähnlich zu dem Tonga Desktop Chip und bietet DirectX 12 (FL 12_0) Hardware-Support. Weiters können auch per Mantle, OpenGL und OpenCL die Grafikkerne angesprochen werden. Außerdem unterstützt die Grafikkarte den HSA 1.0 Standard und kann damit effizient in Verbindung mit den CPU Kernen genutzt werden. Technisch entspricht die GPU exakt dem Vorgänger Carrizo.
Die Videoeinheit beinhaltet den UVD 6 (Unified Video Decoder), welcher HVEC/H.265 und 4K hardwareunterstützt dekodieren kann. Mehr Details dazu finden Sie in unserem Stoney Ridge Artikel .
Leistungsaufnahme
Je nach Modell und konfigurierter TDP (cTDP) ist der in 28 nm gefertigte Chip mit 10 bis 25 Watt spezifiziert. Damit eignet er sich dadurch auch für den Einsatz in schlanken und leichten Notebooks.

Die Intel HD Graphics 2500 (oder Ivy Bridge GT1) ist eine in den Ivy Bridge Prozessoren integrierte Grafikkarte. Sie kommt ausschließlich in Desktop CPUs zum Einsatz. Das mobile Pendant nennt sich schlicht Intel HD Graphics . Im Vergleich zur stärkeren Intel HD Graphics 4000 ist die HD 2500 deutlich abgespeckt und bietet weniger Execution Units (6 EUs) und Texture Sampler (nur einer). Daher ist die Performance deutlich geringer und nur etwas oberhalb der alten Intel HD Graphics 2000 . Je nach Prozessor weist die HD Graphics 2500 eine unterschiedliche Basis- und Turbo-Taktrate auf.
Da die Leistung nur zwischen der HD Graphics 2000 und 3000 liegt (siehe Benchmarks), reicht die HD Graphics 2500 nur für ältere und anspruchslose Spiele aus. Im Konkurrenzvergleich entspricht die Performance etwa den integrierten Einstiegslösungen von AMD, zum Beispiel der Radeon HD 8210 .
Eine Besonderheit der Ivy Bride Grafikkerne ist, das nur 4x MSAA von der Hardware unterstützt wird. 2x MSAA wird per Software berechnet und geht durch die 4x MSAA Pipeline. Daher empfiehlt sich der Einsatz des gleich schnellen 4x MSAA.
Auch der integrierte Videodecoder genannt Multi Format Codec Engine (MFX) wurde kräftig überarbeitet und soll nun sogar mehrere 4K Videos parallel dekodieren können (ev. nur in den High-End Modellen). DXVA Checker gibt weiterhin die Formate MPEG2, VC1, WMV9 und H264 als unterstütz an. QuickSync zum schnellen Transkodieren von Videos wurde ebenfalls verbessert und soll nun schneller bei gleichzeitig höherer Qualität laufen.
Ebenfalls neu ist die Unterstützung für drei unabhängige Bildschirme . Bis Sandy Bridge waren nur zwei möglich und lediglich die AMD Grafikkarten mit Eyefinity Support bieten mehr als zwei Anschlüsse für Notebooks (jedoch nur mit DisplayPorts).
Aufgrund der Integration in den mit 22nm gefertigten Prozessor und die halbierte Shaderzahl ist der Stromverbrauch relativ gering.
