Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU oder 3080 Ti Mobile (für Laptops, GN20-E8-A1) ist Anfang 2022 die schnellste Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf den GA103S Ampere Chip und bietet 7424 Shader und 16 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einem 256 Bit Grafikbus (mit 12 oder 14 Gbps). Sie unterstützt PCIe 4.0 und ist in verschiedenen Varianten (aktuell 80 - 165 Watt bekannt) verfügbar. Je nach TGP-Variante taktet die Grafikkarte im Boost von 1125 bis 1590 MHz. Die GPU unterstützt DirectX 12 Ultimate (12_2).
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 80 - 95 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).
Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Durch die zusätzlichen Shader-Kerne sollte sie aber deutlich oberhalb der RTX 3080 Mobile liegen und damit auch anspruchsvolle Spiele in 4K flüssig darstellen können.
Der GA103 Chip bietet 7.680 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 3.840 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Weiters bietet der GA103 60 Raytracing Kerne und 240 Tensor Kerne (z.B. für DLSS). Der L2 Cache beträgt 4 MB und der PureVideo VP11 SIP unterstützt Feature Set K mit Hardware AV1 Dekodierung.
Der GA103S Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 ist eine Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte für Desktop-PCs und basiert auf dem Maxwell-Grafikchip GM206 in 28 nm. Dieser bietet 768 Shader-Einheiten, 48 TMUs sowie 32 ROPs. Die Speicherausstattung beträgt 2 GB GDDR5 (6,6 GHz Effektivtakt) an einem 128-Bit-Interface.
Im Mittel liegt die Performance etwa auf dem Niveau der AMD-Modelle Radeon R9 270X und R7 370. Damit platziert sich die GTX 950 vor dem Notebook-Modell GeForce GTX 965M , welches zwar 33 % mehr Rechenwerke, dafür jedoch niedrigere Taktraten aufweist (924-950 vs. 1.024-1.188 MHz @Kern).
Als Features werden CUDA, 3D Vision, PhysX, GeForce Experience, Surround, GameStream, GPU Boost 2.0, Adaptive Vertical Sync bzw. G-SYNC, SLI, DSR und MFAA unterstützt. Als Besonderheit ist weiterhin der H.265-fähige Videoen- und -decoder hervorzuheben.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU oder 3060 Mobile (für Laptops, GN20-E3, Max-P / Max-Q) ist Anfang 2021 die dritt-schnellste mobile Ampere-Grafikkarte. Sie basiert auf den GA106 Ampere Chip und bietet 6 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einem 192 Bit Grafikbus (mit 12 oder 14 Gbps). Sie unterstützt PCIe 4.0 und soll in zwei verschiedenen Varianten mit 60 bis 115 Watt (TGP) verfügbar sein. Als Package nutzt die Notebook-Grafikkarte GB5-256 und die Chipgröße soll 40x40mm betragen. Die GPU unterstützt eDP 1.4b zum Anschluss des internen Monitors.
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 60 - 70 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).
Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Im Schnitt sollte sie etwa auf dem Level einer alten RTX 2070 Super Mobile liegen. Dadurch ist die Leistung bei anspruchsvollen Spielen am besten für QHD (2560x1440) und maximalen Details geeignet. Weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele können auch in 4k flüssig gespielt werden.
Der GA106 Chip bietet 3.840 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 1.920 INT32 ALUs). Die RTX 3060 nutzt davon alle 3840 Kerne. Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Die Raytracing und Tensor Kerne auf dem Chip wurden laut Nvidia ebenfalls verbessert. Weiters integriert der Ampere Chip einen Hardware Video-Encoder (NVENC 5. Generation für H.264 und H.265) und Decoder (7. Generation für zahlreiche Formate inklusive AV1).
Der GA106 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).
