NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU oder 3070 Mobile (für Laptops, GN20-E5, Max-P / Max-Q) ist Anfang 2021 die zweit-schnellste Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf den GA104-770-A1 Ampere Chip und bietet 8 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einem 256 Bit Grafikbus (mit 12 oder 14 Gbps). Sie unterstützt PCIe 4.0 und soll in zwei verschiedenen Varianten mit 80, 90, 115 bzw. 125 Watt (TGP) verfügbar sein. Als Package nutzt die Notebook-Grafikkarte GB5-256 und die Chipgröße soll 40x40mm betragen. Die GPU unterstützt eDP 1.4b zum Anschluss des internen Monitors.
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 80 - 90 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).
Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Im Schnitt sollte sie etwa auf dem Level einer alten RTX 2080 Super Mobile liegen. Dadurch reicht die Leistung bei den meisten anspruchsvollen Spielen auch für 4k mit maximalen Details. Bei 1080p sind auch Frameraten über 100 fps möglich.
Der GA104 Chip bietet 6144 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 3072 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Die Raytracing und Tensor Kerne auf dem Chip wurden laut Nvidia ebenfalls verbessert. Die RTX 3070 nutzt 5120 der 6144 Kerne. Weiters integriert der Ampere Chip einen Hardware Video-Encoder (NVENC 5. Generation für H.264 und H.265) und Decoder (7. Generation für zahlreiche Formate inklusive AV1).
Der GA104 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q ► remove from comparison Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 mit Max-Q Design ist eine mobile High-End-Grafikkarte der Turing-Serie. Sie ist gedacht für dünne und relativ leichte Gaming Laptops und wahrscheinlich etwa 10-15% langsamer als eine normale mobile RTX 2080 (wie bei der 10er Generation).
Anscheinend gibt es zwei Varianten der RTX 2080 Max-Q, eine mit 80 Watt TDP und 735 - 1095 MHz und eine schnellere mit 90 Watt TDP mit 990 - 1230 MHz Kerntakt (Basis - Boost). Beide Varianten takten mit 6 GHz den GDDR6 Speicher (im Vergleich zu 7 GHz bei der normalen RTX 2080).
Im Vergleich zur normalen GTX 1080 gibt es noch weitere Unterschiede als den Takt. Der Treiber wurde auf Effizienz (und nicht Leistung) optimiert (nur für die Max-Q Modelle), optimierte Spannungswandler für 1V Betreib, high-end Kühlungsmethoden und eine 40 dB Grenze für die Lüfterlautstärke (mit Taktanpasssungen um dies jederzeit zu gewährleisten) zeichnen die Max-Q Variante aus.
Features
Der TU104-Chip wird in 12nm gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, wie DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) und Real Time Ray Tracing. Dadurch lassen sich vor allem Beleuchtungseffekte sehr viel realistischer darstellen. Weiterhin gibt es Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0).
Performance
Die Spieleleistung sollte leicht oberhalb der mobilen RTX 2070 liegen und deutlich unterhalb der normalen RTX 2080. Damit ist sie RTX2080 Max-Q die zweitschnellste mobile Grafikkarte und auch für 4K Gaming geeignet.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Laptop GPU (oder Mobile, NVIDIA_DEV.2583, GN20-P0-R 6GB, 3050 Refresh) ist der Refresh der RTX 3050 mit 4GB und bietet neben dem größeren Grafikspeicher auch mehr Shader (2.560 Kerne = +25% wie die RTX 3050 Ti ). Dafür wurde der Speicherbus von 128 Bit auf 96 Bit reduziert.
Wie üblich wird es verschiedene Varianten mit einem TGP von 35 - 50 (ehemals Max-Q) und 60 - 80 Watt geben. Diese takten von 713 - 1530 (Basistakt) bis 1058 - 1740 (Boost) und bieten dementsprechend eine unterschiedliche Performance.
Die durchschnittliche Leistung sollte etwas oberhalb der alten RTX 3050 (4GB) Laptop GPU liegen und knapp hinter der RTX 3050 Ti .
