NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU oder 3070 Mobile (für Laptops, GN20-E5, Max-P / Max-Q) ist Anfang 2021 die zweit-schnellste Grafikkarte für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf den GA104-770-A1 Ampere Chip und bietet 8 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einem 256 Bit Grafikbus (mit 12 oder 14 Gbps). Sie unterstützt PCIe 4.0 und soll in zwei verschiedenen Varianten mit 80, 90, 115 bzw. 125 Watt (TGP) verfügbar sein. Als Package nutzt die Notebook-Grafikkarte GB5-256 und die Chipgröße soll 40x40mm betragen. Die GPU unterstützt eDP 1.4b zum Anschluss des internen Monitors.
Es gibt nun keine Max-Q Variante mehr (die 80 - 90 Watt Versionen heissen auch nur "Laptop GPU"), aber jede TGP-Version kann die Max-Q Technologien nutzen (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode).
Die Leistung ist abhängig von der TGP-Variante und der verwendeten Kühlung. Im Schnitt sollte sie etwa auf dem Level einer alten RTX 2080 Super Mobile liegen. Dadurch reicht die Leistung bei den meisten anspruchsvollen Spielen auch für 4k mit maximalen Details. Bei 1080p sind auch Frameraten über 100 fps möglich.
Der GA104 Chip bietet 6144 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 3072 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Die Raytracing und Tensor Kerne auf dem Chip wurden laut Nvidia ebenfalls verbessert. Die RTX 3070 nutzt 5120 der 6144 Kerne. Weiters integriert der Ampere Chip einen Hardware Video-Encoder (NVENC 5. Generation für H.264 und H.265) und Decoder (7. Generation für zahlreiche Formate inklusive AV1).
Der GA104 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (Desktop) ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 ist Einstiegs-Desktop-Grafikkarte basierend auf den neuen GP108 Chip der Pascal Architektur. Sie wird in 14nm FinFET gefertigt und bietet drei Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) und somit 384 Shader, 24 Textureinheiten und 16 ROPs. Die maximal 2 GB GDDR5 sind per 64 Bit Speicherbus (2 x 32 Bit Speichercontroller) angebunden (48 GBit/s). Die Shader sind identisch zu den anderen Karten der GTX 10 Serie, wie die GTX 1050 und daher auch der Support für DirectX 12_1.
Die Performance ist im Schnitt leicht unterhalb der Radeon RX 550 angesiedelt und daher eignet sie sich am besten für aktuelle Spiele in niedriger - mittlerer Detailstufe.
Der Stromverbrauch ist relativ gering und laut Nvidia mit 30 Watt spezifiziert.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q ► remove from comparison
Die Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 mit Max-Q Design ist eine mobile High-End-GPU der Pascal-Serie. Sie ist gedacht für dünne und leichte Notebook und je nach Kühlungsdesign etwa 10-15% langsamer als eine normale GTX 1080 für Laptops . Der Basistakt liegt mit 1101 - 1290 MHz deutlich unterhalb der normalen GTX 1080 (1566 MHz, mind. -18%) und auch der Boost erreicht mit 1278 - 1458 bei weitem nicht die 1733 MHz (mind. -16%) der regulären GTX 1080. Der Speichertakt ist jedoch gleich.
Im Vergleich zur normalen GTX 1080 gibt es noch weitere Unterschiede als den Takt. Der Treiber wurde auf Effizienz (und nicht Leistung) optimiert (nur für die Max-Q Modelle), optimierte Spannungswandler für 1V Betreib, high-end Kühlungsmethoden und eine 40 dB Grenze für die Lüfterlautstärke (mit Taktanpasssungen um dies jederzeit zu gewährleisten) zeichnen die Max-Q Variante aus.
Features
Der GP104-Chip wird in einem 16nm-FinFET-Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, unter anderem Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie verbessertes H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0). Der Stromverbrauch der Max-Q Variante ist deutlich reduziert und beträgt je nach Laptopmodell zwischen 90 und 110 Watt (TGP).
