Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Laptop GPU (oder Mobile, NVIDIA_DEV.2583, GN20-P0-R 6GB, 3050 Refresh) ist der Refresh der RTX 3050 mit 4GB und bietet neben dem größeren Grafikspeicher auch mehr Shader (2.560 Kerne = +25% wie die RTX 3050 Ti). Dafür wurde der Speicherbus von 128 Bit auf 96 Bit reduziert.

Wie üblich wird es verschiedene Varianten mit einem TGP von 35 - 50 (ehemals Max-Q) und 60 - 80 Watt geben. Diese takten von 713 - 1530 (Basistakt) bis 1058 - 1740 (Boost) und bieten dementsprechend eine unterschiedliche Performance.

Die durchschnittliche Leistung sollte etwas oberhalb der alten RTX 3050 (4GB) Laptop GPU liegen und knapp hinter der RTX 3050 Ti.

Der GA107 Chip bietet 3.072 FP32 ALUs wovon die Hälfte auch INT32 Befehle ausführen können (also 1.536 INT32 ALUs). Bei Turing konnten noch alle Shader FP32 oder INT32 ausführen. Die Raytracing und Tensor Kerne auf dem Chip wurden laut Nvidia ebenfalls verbessert. Weiters integriert der Ampere Chip einen Hardware Video-Encoder (NVENC 5. Generation für H.264 und H.265) und Decoder (7. Generation für zahlreiche Formate inklusive AV1).

Der GA107 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann (z.B. von AMD genutzt, aber auch für den professionellen GA100 Ampere Chip).

Intel UHD Graphics 610

Die Intel UHD Graphics 610 (GT1) ist eine Prozessorgrafikkarte in den schwächeren Pentium Modellen (z.b. Whiskey Lake basierter Pentium Gold 6405U). Im Vergleich zur älteren HD Graphics 610 (z. B. in Kaby-Lake Pentium CPUs), wurde nur der Name geändert. Zwar glänzt die GPU mit einer niedrigen Leistungsaufnahme, allerdings siedelt sich die Performance nur im Low-End-Segment an und ist für neuere Spiele selten ausreichend. Als sogenannte GT1-Ausbaustufe der verfügt die UHD Graphics 610 über 12 Execution Units (EUs), die je nach Modell mit bis zu 950 MHz takten.

Mangels eigenem Grafikspeicher oder eDRAM-Cache greift die HD Graphics 610 über das Interface des Prozessors auf den System-RAM zu (2x 64 Bit DDR4-2133/DDR3L-1600/LPDDR3-1866).

Performance - Nur wenige Spiele laufen flüssig

Die Leistung der UHD Graphics 610 ist vergleichbar mit der identischen HD Graphics 610 und sehr ähnlichen HD Graphics 510 und dadurch nur für sehr anspruchslose Spiele geeignet. Farming Simulator 17, World of Warships oder Dota 2 Reborn sind z.B. Spiele die in niedrigster Detailstufe spielbar sein sollten.

Features - H.265 in Hardware

Anders als Skylake kann Kaby Lake und dere Nachfolger nun auch H.265/HEVC im Main10-Profil mit 10 Bit Farbtiefe sowie Googles VP9-Codec in Hardware decodieren. Die Kaby-Lake Pentium Modelle sollten auch schon HDCP 2.2 unterstützen, was beispielsweise für die Ausgabe von Netflix-Videos in 4K benötigt wird. HDMI 2.0 unterstützt die HD Graphics 620 jedoch weiterhin nur per Wandler (LSPCon) über den DisplayPort.

Leistungsaufnahme

Die TDP des gesamten Chips liegt standardmäßig bei 15 Watt, sodass die GPU vor allem in Ultrabooks oder oder schlanken Notebooks zu finden ist. Teils kann die TDP auch auf 10 Watt abgesenkt werden, wodurch allerdings die Performance sinkt.

Intel HD Graphics 520

Die Intel HD Graphics 520 (GT2) ist eine Prozessorgrafikkarte der im Sommer 2015 vorgestellten Skylake-Generation. Als Nachfolger der HD Graphics 5500 (Broadwell) ist die HD Graphics 520 dabei in den ULV-Modellen der 15-Watt-Klasse zu finden. Die sogenannte GT2-Ausbaustufe der Skylake-GPU verfügt über 24 Execution Units (EUs), die je nach Modell mit bis zu 1.050 MHz takten.

Mangels eigenem Grafikspeicher oder eDRAM-Cache greift die HD Graphics 520 über das Interface des Prozessors auf den System-RAM zu (2x 64 Bit DDR3L-1600/DDR4-2133).

Performance

Die exakte Leistung der HD Graphics 520 hängt vom jeweiligen CPU-Modell ab, da sich Maximaltaktrate und Größe des L3-Caches leicht unterscheiden können. Zum anderen bestimmt auch der verwendete Speicher (DDR3/DDR4) die Performance.

Die höchste Leistung erreichen hochtaktende Core-i7-Ableger wie der Core i7-6600U. Je nach Spiel kann die HD 520 dann in etwa mit einer dedizierten GeForce 820M konkurrieren und aktuelle Spiele (Stand 2015) zumindest in niedrigen Einstellungen flüssig darstellen.

Features

Der überarbeitete Videodecoder decodiert nun auch H.265-/HEVC-Videos vollständig in Hardware und arbeitet dadurch deutlich effizienter als bislang. Die Bildausgabe erfolgt über DP 1.2/eDP 1.3 (max. 3.840 x 2.160 @ 60 Hz), wohingegen HDMI nur in der älteren Version 1.4a angeboten wird. Ein HDMI-2.0-Anschluss kann aber mittels Konverter von DisplayPort ergänzt werden. Maximal lassen sich drei Displays parallel angesteuern.

Leistungsaufnahme

Die HD Graphics 520 ist in ULV-Prozessoren der 15-Watt-Klasse zu finden und damit für schlanke Note- und Ultrabooks geeignet.
