Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 für Laptops ist eine mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte der Oberklasse. Sie basiert auf die Desktop RTX 2060 bei reduzierten Kerntaktraten (-30%) und TDP (80 - 90 versus 160 Watt).

In 2020 gab es eine leicht geänderte Version (Refresh) mit gleichem Namen. Diese basiert auf den TU106B Chip, höheren Taktraten (1005 - 1560 MHz), höherem TGP (bis 115 Watt) aber verringerten Speichertaktraten von 11Gbps.

Der verwendete Turing Chip wird in 12nm gefertigt und bietet eine Reihe neuer Features, wie DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) und Real Time Ray Tracing. Dadurch lassen sich vor allem Beleuchtungseffekte sehr viel realistischer darstellen. Weiterhin gibt es Support für DisplayPort 1.4 (ready), HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) sowie H.265 Video De- und Encoding (PlayReady 3.0).

Performance

Die Performance der mobilen GeForce RTX 2060 liegt in unseren Spieletests im Schnitt auf dem Niveau der alten Desktop GeForce GTX 1070 und deutlich hinter der Desktop RTX 2060. Die mobile GTX 1660 Ti kann nur knapp abgehängt werden, bietet jedoch auch keine Raytracing-Features. Dadurch eignet sie sich am besten für anspruchsvolles Spielen in Full HD (1080p) in hohen bis sehr hohen Detailstufe (siehe detaillierte Notebook-Spiele-Tests unten). Da die RTX-Features sehr viel Leistung kosten, sind diese also nicht immer gut nutzbar bei der RTX 2060. 

Der Stromverbrauch ist mit 80 - 90 Watt TGP (Graphics Subsystem Power, komplette Grafikkarte) definiert und dadurch auf dem Niveau der stärkeren RTX 2070 Max-Q und RTX 2080 Max-Q. In unseren Notebooktests positioniert sich die Leistungsaufnahme des durchschnittlichen RTX 2060 Notebooks nur knapp oberhalb der mobilen GTX 1660 Ti in The Witcher 3. Wie zu erwarten sind die Max-Q Modelle der RTX 2070 und 2080 ebenfalls vergleichbar (wenige Prozentpunkte höher in unseren Tests).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 ist eine High-End-Desktop-Grafikkarte basierend auf die Ada Lovelace Architektur. Sie nutzt den AD104 Chip und bietet 5.888 Kerne und 12 GB GDDR6X Grafikspeicher (192 Bit Bus mit 21 Gbits).

Die Gaming-Performance reicht auch bei anspruchsvollen Spielen wie bei Cyberpunk noch für 2k mit Ultra Settings. Mit Raytracing empfiehlt sich der Einsatz von DLSS und eventuell das Reduzieren der Auflösung. Im Konkurrenzvergleich ist die Performance vergleichbar mit der alten GeForce RTX 3080 bzw. der AMD Radeon 6800 XT. Im Vergleich zur mobilen GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, ist die Desktop-Version deutlich schneller.

Der AD104 Chip wird bei TSMC in 5 nm (4N mit EUV) produziert und ist mit einem TGP (Total Graphics Power) von 200 Watt spezifiziert.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 Mobile

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 für Laptops (GN20-S7) ist eine mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte der unteren Mittleklasse. Sie bietet mit 2.048 Shader sogar mehr Kerne als die RTX 2060, aber der Speicherbus wurde deutlich beschnitten (nur 64 Bit). Dadurch kann auch ein niedriger Stromverbrauch errreicht werden (30 - 45 Watt TGP). Je nach Variante erreicht die GPU einen Boost-Speed von 1155 - 1477 MHz. Die bis zu 4 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher werden mit 14 GBps getaktet und erreichen damit 112 GB/s maximalen Datendurchsatz. Im Unterschied zur baugleichen GeForce MX570 bietet die RTX 2050 Support für Raytracing und DLSS.

Performance

Die Performance der mobilen GeForce RTX 2050 sollte durch den beschnittenen Speicherbus deutlich unterhalb der mobilen RTX 2060 liegen. Erste Benchmarks zeigen eine Leistung knapp oberhalb der GeForce 1650 und auf dem Niveau der baugleichen GeForce MX570. Dank DLSS kann bei einigen Spielen aber eine höhere Qualität erreicht werden.

Der GA107 Chip wird bei Samsung im 8nm (8N) Verfahren welches mit dem 7nm Verfahren von TSMC nicht ganz mithalten kann
